Sue Scott is an absolutely amazing attorney and she was the answer to my prayers. I got my dream job out of state and I wanted to take my 12 year old daughter with me, but my ex-husband fought me. The court-appointed Guardian ad-litem was recommending my daughter stay with her father despite my daughter's desire to move with me and the fact that prior to moving, my daughter stayed with me for a majority of the time. I ended up having to move without my daughter because my new job needed me there asap, but this move was risky because the custody decision was still pending. Despite all this, Sue never lost hope. We took the battle all the way to trial and won! It's no easy feat to overcome a GAL's recommendation but Sue handled it like a pro. My daughter is now with me full time and I could not be more grateful. Sue was with me every step of the way. She communicated very well. She came to court prepared, having done her research. She advocated more strongly for my daughter than the GAL, so much so that the judge sided with our arguments. I haven't been through a more stressful time in my life than when I was waiting for the final decision, but I felt better knowing that with Sue's help, I'd fought as hard as I could. I could go on and on about Sue but I'll finish by saying this, no attorney can guarantee an outcome and she certainly never did that with me, but an attorney can make or break how you present your case to the court.
