Residential Interior Designers

Jessica is an excellent designer and great to work with. I've hired her for a few projects and all have gone really well. She helped to furnish an underutilized vacation rental in a timely manner, and on a tight budget . I was skeptical at first because I'm not a style guy, but she curated a noticeably better space, and the returns were almost immediate. I was able to secure dozens of bookings, raise the rates, and made 3x the return in one month. Since then she's set up other properties for me including my home, which is now much more inviting for visitors. More...

Q&As

My process consists of phases. Concept, Planning, Procurement, and Installation.
Concept is the essential piece where we get to know the client lifestyle, preferences, and general aesthetic. This is important to make sure we're on the same page, before narrowing into project specifics.
Planning begins after concept approval. During the planning process we're looking for specific items. We build technical designs to visualize the space, collect samples and alternatives, as well as make updates against the budget to build a wholistic view of what each option means. During our creative meeting we'll present selections, which will move us to the next phase.
Procurement is where we take care of ordering and bring in necessary home building trades, before moving to installation, and approval for project completion.

We can cater for many design styles, but often get requests for contemporary, bohemian, transitional, modern, and farm-house chic. We favor coastal, zen, mid-century, and industrial blends.
We shy away from traditional, but do enjoy timeless design.

I love the collaborative process of translating life with aesthetic. Many people don't recognize the subtle effects design elements play on our well-being. When you can fix someone's neck problems, and improve their mood or daily routines, by choosing the right seat cushion, light element, or storage piece. It feels like handing someone a sense of control. That's powerful to me.

What inspired me to start was helping a struggling friend, improve their Airbnb. Interior design had always been a source of passion and inspiration. I was afraid to turn it into a job because it was something that I loved so much. But after spending a year in lockdown, feeling the direct impact of the space on mental well-being, I knew it wasn't just a gift for me.
So when the friend asked for help to get more bookings, and became extremely profitable after having the rooms designed by me, I could see others felt the same as well.
It is my mission to bring peace to places it matters most. No place matters more than home. Our personal sanctuaries.

Clients should choose me if they want an unbiased opinion to blend contrasting design styles. If they want someone to help find the best fit, while keeping on target.
I can tell clients what looks good, but also encourage their opinion on selections. Because I leave at the end of the day, but the final choices are what clients are left with. It's my job to ensure I'm not designing from my opinion, but the preferences of the ones to enjoy it.

Design and planning services can be done remotely. Clients are provided shopping lists for selected items, and trade specific items may require extra steps, but are possible. Clients will be provided instructions for installation, and there is an option for the designer to travel should that be a preference.

I've expanded options for remote services, and work with client preferences, should they require a mask.
