RENTERS BEWARE!!! I would highly HIGHLY suggest looking elsewhere. This has hands down been the WORST rental experience we have ever had. They are dishonest, rude, COMPLETELY unorganized, and 100% do not care about their renters. We have paid every month EARLY and have been model tenants and I wish Innova had shown us the same level of respect. During the current COVID-19 pandemic, the owners of the house decided they needed to sell - we get it, times are tough, no hard feelings. However, Innova proceeded to schedule showing after showing, in the middle of a global pandemic, usually with little to no notice, and with apparently little to no communication between their employees. It was a complete mess. Even when we denied showings when it was given with less than 24 hour notice, we still had groups of people showing up to walk through the house. We have 4 kids in virtual school and my wife and I both work from home. We were constantly having our lives interrupted due to the chaos, despite pleading with Innova to go about this more responsibly. It was just constant unneeded, additional stress being piled on top of what we (and all of us) are already dealing with. They simply did not care about us, only about selling the house. Poor communication and zero compassion. At one point, the owner (Rene) rudely told us to "put ourselves in someone else's shoes" when we denied a showing (the vast, vast majority of which we had graciously granted). What?? Sad that Innova refused to ever try to put themselves in ours. It took us very getting angry about the way things were being handled for them agree to enforce any kind of rules around how many random people can walk through our house, how many showings they can schedule in a day, rules around wearing masks, giving proper notice, etc. -- and even those rules were frequently broken. To keep us happy, they told us they would reduce our rent for the months when our lives were being interrupted -- which is pretty standard for normal times, let alone in the middle of a global pandemic. Instead, Innova went back on their word and we received a paltry $100 discount for only ONE MONTH (and only when we complained enough!) despite dealing with their insane unprofessionalism for months on end. At one point, we had denied them a singular proposed day for an inspection for selling the house, so the owner (Rene) showed up in person and told my wife that they will come in (with us not here) no matter what -- and when we informed them that we have a large dog and that we would prefer to be here during inspection (and they knew about the dog because we had paid their pet fees), Rene smugly told us that that was OK and that he would show up regardless, and with cops. What is a cop going to do?? Shoot our dog?? I mean, really?! What a disgusting comment to make. Now that they have sold the house and our lease is up at the end of the month, they simply do not care anymore. Today marks the second time an exterminator has shown up out of nowhere with no notice and no contact from Innova. Yesterday. it was a maintenance worker that showed up to "fix the smoke detector"... which it took them a MONTH after the buyer's inspection to realize we had a problem with one of them, which we had already put a battery in and informed them (with pictures!) that they were working. They are so unorganized that our efforts were pointless and they wasted that poor guy's time sending him out here. The maintenance guy just laughed and shook his head because that is apparently the norm with Innova. The fact that they send people out here without giving us ANY notice is ridiculous. They are not only uncaring and dishonest, but HUGELY disorganized. No one in that office knows what the other people are doing. No one relays messages to each other. They make promises that aren't kept. They have little to no concern for renters. Over all, this has been a horrible experience. I would never rent from this company again, and I feel sorry for anyone that does. More...
