I love Peruvian cuisine in general and Inkanto embodies the best of it. TLDR: exceptional peruvian food.___I've been here a ton. I've dined in order takeout and even order delivery through Yelp. All of this the beaches are amazing the traditional might be my favorite but I also really like the riccoto.The Lommel Chantal with tender pieces of steak laying on a bed of french fries and white rice is a hearty filling dish that is super tasty.Papa A la huancaina and yuca a la huancaina are perfect starters to share. Amazing experience at a Peruvian restaurant .Inkanto is located off Oakland Park Blvd East and in a strip mall. Once you step foot inside the clean white space you will be transformed into another culinary world , bonus tip- Bring friends to share the food! Walked in and found my friends. We ordered up a bunch of items and everything was so delicious!!Started with the famous Pisco passion fruit drink. I asked for extra egg whites in my drink to get a more foamy effect. The service here was great and they accommodate your requests.We had Causas Sampler which are mashed potato with seafood on top and such a beautiful presentation like works of art. We als a Ceviche Platter and all had such tender fresh pieces of fish in a pretty colored sauce.My favorite the pretty presentation of the Pulpo Anticuchero  aka grilled Octopus! All of the dishes we had were very fresh, and flavorful ! Aji de Gallina is chicken and rice , comes in a creamy sauce and the chicken was shredded. I loved the Mixed Chaufa rice it was a Peruvian-Chinese fried rice dish it was outstanding.Fresh squid ink risotto with seafood on top is very special and creamy full of flavor. We found this place by searching on Yelp. We wanted to try something different one night and decided to give this place a try. We are so glad we did! The restaurant's interior is modern and very clean. The staff is amazing. George was our sever and his service was EXCELLENT! And ofcourse the FOOD IS AMAZING! This place was great! We stopped in on Thanksgiving for something to eat en route to the airport. My wife had ceviche. Strong notes of citrus, with seafood bits that got acidity long enough to be firm but not over ripe. I had a fish and rice dish that I would call fried fish in brown sauce deliciousness! I stumbled upon this place hidden in a quiet strip mall by accident and as I had never been to a Peruvian restaurant plus knew nothing about the cuisine I thought I would give it a try. No frills, basic but spotless interior I was greeted by very friendly staff. There was a great selection on the menu, I was in the mood for seafood and asked the very knowledgeable and helpful waiter for a recommendation. The dish was grilled octopus cooked perfectly over calamari, shrimp, mussels and clams served over a squid ink risotto. Everything was cooked to perfection and was one of the best combinations that I have had for some time. Went to Inkanto on a quiet Thursday night. We were immediately greeted with a smile, and walked over to a booth. The atmosphere is ok - a little on the bright side with strong fluorescent lighting. Our waiter was very nice and gave several recommendations. We had the chicken causa - a cold mashed potato dish with what tasted like chicken salad. It was ok. For dinner, I had the arroz con mariscos and it was very tasty. Very similar to a seafood paella. The seafood was cooked almost perfectly. My dad had the seafood chaufas - it was similar to a Chinese fried rice with seafood piled on top. Very tasty and well seasoned. Great quiet little spot. Not cheap but the food was pretty good. Ordered a special which included a cilantro risotto with mahi and shrimp and it was pretty good! They also make a killer lemonade!

This was the best restaurant we ate at on our 9 day journey through South Florida and the Keys. We ate out 3 times a day that whole time, and hands down, Inkanto was the crown jewel of our foodie tour. Each time we ordered something from the menu it got better and better. Service was top notch too. Someone mentioned that it's in a strip mall, and not to be deceived. They were right. George was our server and was able to describe the dishes perfectly, even though we were ignorant of Peruvian food beyond Pollo a la brasa. His advice and descriptions steered us through an evening of gastric bliss. I can tell you one thing for sure. As long as they're open for business, I'll be here to eat if I'm within 100 miles. Seriously, we had great food on this trip, but this place is on a whole different level. The chips de camarones is one of the 5 best soups I've ever had. Mashed potatoes with shrimp/crab stuffing!? I visited Inkanto 3 weeks ago for dinner. I am very pleased to say I enjoyed every dish and every drink I tried. Inkanto gave me a little taste of the Peruvian cuisine I had never tried before. I am used to ceviche which I love but thats where it ends. Thankfully, I got to try some authentic dishes like the AJI DE GALLINA which is fantastic! So flavorful and creamy.I also tried their CEVICHE SAMPLER and they were all so citrusy, which I love and fresh. The SCALLOPS ON THE HALF SHELF with the CHALACA SALSA is spectacular! And so is their BLACK INK SQUID RISOTTO with SEAFOOD and its also such a cool dish because its black risotto!One more thing that is a must at Inkanto is the FETTUCCINE a la HUACAINA with BEEF TENDERLOIN. I mean talk about the perfect pasta and beef combo. Loved everything about this restaurant. One of the best Peruvian restaurants I have been to in a while and everyone was happy with their meal. Ordered: Aji de Gallina Pescado a lo machoShrimp CausaArroz Norteno This was a birthday dinner celebration. We went on Sunday afternoon, it wasn't busy when we arrived. The staff was polite and accommodating and we were quickly seated.  Considering we had a reservation it would have been good if they were staffed to accommodate my party of 13.  Our table had plates on each other, we had to start moving them to one end.   The food took a while coming out and was brought out individually. Considering the occasion we wanted to eat together.  Once the food arrived it was uphill from there. Everything was divine and palatable to taste. I am big on seasoning and herbs and they outdid themselves. Every meal was well seasoned and cooked to perfection. My wife invited me to Inkanto for lunch the other day. It was a delightful experience. We were shown to a table and Daniel was our server. He was very attentive and gave us some good recommendations. The Octopus appetizer was excellent. The drinks were excellent as well, my wife even had a second. I had the seafood paella, which was very tasty, a quite a large portion. Prices were reasonable, and once again, the service was top notch. I would recommend Inkanto Peruvian Cuisine if you are in the area. If you like Octopus, make sure you try theirs, is really great! We went for my daughter's birthday.  It was on a Wednesday night.  We were the only ones there so I was hesitant on the place but I decided to give it a shot since the reviews were good. I'm glad I chose this place because everything was delicious. I got the Seco De Res and mmmm was it delicious. I came to Inkanto Peruvian Cuisine as part of Yelp's Cultura week. Located in Okland Blvd, we almost missed it, it is very nondescript. This is why I love yelp so much, I may not have found this place if it weren't for them. And I am happy to have found a restaurant I can see myself becoming a regular of. My husband and I came on a Saturday afternoon. We were seated right away, before we told them we came for the Yelp's tasting we had been seated and brought menus. The waiter was extremely friendly and courteous, after we informed him about our confirmation, he checked our names off a list. This was all done in a very courteous and professional manner. We had a set menu to try  with the few choices. Each one  was explained in great detail. It was hard for us to choose because everything sounded delicious. We started with the grilled octopus and I am telling you this is the best I have tried in a long while! I will most definitely be coming back just for this. We were also offered Pisco sour which is a Peruvian drink, I even had a debate about it with the waiter. I am Chilean, and if you as a Chilean, they will tell you is from Chile... it is not. I opted for the original and my husband opted for passion fruit which we loved. As my entrée I had risotto Huancaino, this is a take on a sauce that is often served with fried yuca or potatoes. It was amazing, so creamy and delicious ,it also came with Lomo Saltado which is one of my favorite Peruvian dishes. The meat was seasoned and cooked perfectly. My husband had a Paella de Mariscos. He loved it. Unfortunately they had ran out of dessert and we were not able to taste this part of our menu. The waiter was very apologetic and allowed me to have an additional drink as a substitute, which I couldn't really complain LOL The restaurant inside is a lot more spacious than it looks from the outside. Low key decor that gives it a classier feel. I loved the wall decor they had. Pretty much the only pop of color to an otherwise white decor. I loved it. I am most definitely coming back. In fact I have already recommended this place to a few friends. Next time, I will have that dessert! More...

The food here is really good!I have gone 3 times already since I first learned about it and can't wait to try everything in their menu. I have gone with different groups of friends and all are impressed by the flavors, the textures, the presentation... the overall quality of the food is excellent.I will say that the place doesn't really look like much.
