After following IDE on FB, IG, etc.. for some time. I decided that I needed to hire them to help with my wedding. Due to something out of our control, we had to move our wedding up a whole year and make it happen within three weeks. Chrissy and the team made it happen. They listen to your wedding fantasies and do their absolute best to make it become your reality . My wedding was an absolute dream, from the decor to the flowers and everything in between! I first heard of Chrissy and Ideal Design Events through a co-worker of mine who spoke very highly of her. I was in the process of "shopping" wedding planners and added them to the list. At our first meeting I fell in LOVE with both Chrissy and Tom! Not only were they totally down to earth, they are just all around great people. They are real and give it to you straight (no chaser). My now husband and I left the appointment and I said, "we are hiring them, I'm done looking." The entire team at IDE is so great to work with. We found our amazing photographer and videographer through Chrissy, she has a great list of vendors to choose from that fit every brides budget. We had our floral's done by Dale (who is in the IDE team), and people are STILL raving about how gorgeous all of our flowers were...my bouquet was seriously AMAZING!! Seriously, I would not use anyone else but him! I was a pretty relaxed bride as far as my vision of how I wanted our ceremony and reception space to look. I told Chrissy I just wanted a beachy, but elegant vibe and let her and her team run with it. They blew whatever expectation or vision I had in mind out of the water! She had every detail of our wedding day ironed out flat, it was SO nice waking up Saturday morning and not having to worry about a single thing. She played the bad guy so my husband and I didn't have to. She kept our vendors in line and on schedule (as well as our rowdy groomsmen). Overall, I would hire IDE again in a heartbeat. She was my sanity throughout the entire planning process. My mom lives in Iowa, so was not here to help out in the planning process. Chrissy stepped up and played that roll for me. She answered my calls, emails , text messages at all times of day and night (even while she was on vacation) and constantly reassured me everything was going to be amazing and that "she's got this" and she really did. Chrissy Craft, owner of IDE, is so much more than a wedding planner. She is now a lifelong friend, and even FAMILY! We came to Chrissy in October 2017 when we had to fire the planner we had had for over a year at that point for our upcoming wedding Jan. 20, 2018. I was already stressed with all of the things that still had to be done and that had to be fixed. But Chrissy kept me so calm and constantly assured me I was not behind and that she would handle everything. Her communication is like NO other! I don't think I ever waited more than 1 minute to get a response from her ever! No matter what time or day of the week it was! Let me also just say that on many occasions when I asked Chrissy to call a vendor or check up on something for me, she had almost always already done it or had things all lined up. For someone who easily gets overwhelmed she made me feel so relaxed and taken care of at all times! My wedding day was a dream come true and was more beautiful than I ever could've imagined! Chrissy and her team, Abby and Pablo were equally as amazing!! They executed everything perfectly and the three of them went above and beyond my vision! My only regret is I wish I hired Chrissy sooner!! I don’t even know where to begin. I could truly write a novel about the service that I received from IDE. I will try to keep this short so the character limited be allow me to complete my review. Tom and Chrissy found out that my husband and I never had a real wedding. We had planned to do a big vow renewal at our 15 year mark, well December marked our 15 year. I am a bit of a control freak and my husband is very laid back. Several times during this planning process I became frustrated beyond imagination, Chrissy stepped in on my frustrations amd resolved. Tom came right behind her confirming. Finally, I relinquished being in controlled just a bit. I would call with questions, the answer was I did that two weeks ago or already done. Finally I just conveyed what I liked and let them do whatever. The day of the renewal, my make up had to be done over at least 6 times from the tears of joy I cried over the magical, over the top, beyond my wildest dream renewal they delivered. From Chrissy and the planners with the invitations, custom place cards, ball room, cocktail hour and garden design to Tom and his crew physically making it happen. ALL my guest LOVED Chrissy! This was a home away from home and we live in Clearwater. This was the perfect spot for our staycation. It felt like we had our own private beach and was so wonderful to open the sliding glass door and rub your toes in the sand. Lynn and the management staff were so wonderful and accommodating. I wholeheartedly recommend Chrissy, Tom and their team. They are professional, focused, very dedicated and creative thinkers. They have years of experience with many different types of weddings and venues and this really prepares them for any scenario. We had a large Indian wedding and Chrissy was well versed in our traditions and made sure everything went smoothly and looked beautiful.
Planning a wedding is a stressful thing but Chrissy is a calm guiding force who will make your vision a reality...and it will probably end up looking better than you dreamed :) You are in wonderful hands with her and Tom! More...

Cay Pointe villa was the PERFECT place for our wedding! Everything from the villa itself to the beautiful ocean view made our wedding dream a reality! Our family and friends all raved about how accommodating and beautiful the Villa was! Bill and Carole were amazing and very helpful! They were always there to help us whenever we needed anything and they made sure to tell us if they were going to be leaving just in case! This place was so amazing and I can't say THANK YOU enough! Originally my now husband and I were going to try and plan our wedding ourselves. Little did I know how much detail actually went into a wedding with close to 200 people. We tossed around the idea of possibly getting a wedding planner and I am unbelievably glad we did!!! Chrissy, Tom and the entire Ideal Design Events team far exceeded our expectations! I was blown away by how she turned our ordinary yard into an elegant, romantic, escape. The ambiance from the bistro lighting really set the romance feel I was looking for! We held our wedding at Cay Pointe Villa on April 16th and everything was absolutely perfect! The villas provided the perfect backdrop for our wedding day and the perfect place for our bridal party to stay. The beach is fairly private and quiet which was perfect for our small wedding. The property is very well taken care of and the villas were so homey and clean. The decor is perfect for a beach house and the big sliding doors make for a beautiful view of the beach!

We held our ceremony on the beach in front of the property and the reception on the deck area which was the perfect amount of space for all of our tables and a small dance floor. We moved some tables after dinner to create a bigger dance floor and danced the night away under the stars and market lights we were able to hang from the balcony. We loved being able to wake up the next day at the venue where our wedding was held and share stories of our picture perfect day over breakfast.

The property managers (Carol and Bill) rake the beach every morning and make sure everything is looking perfect. Lynn was an absolute pleasure to work with and was such a huge help leading up to our big day! She was readily available to answer any questions we had and made sure that we didn't have any crashers on the big day!

I can’t say enough good things about Cay Pointe and our guests were all very pleased as well! We are already planning our next visit to this beautiful beachfront slice of heaven! More...

I seldom write compliments. But I sent Chrissy Craft, Owner and Designer of Ideal Design Events an email asking if she could assist me with decorating a table for The WAY Center's 5th Annual Tea and Fashion Show. Not only did Chrissy provide me with a beautiful centerpiece, tablecloth, napkins, chairs and chair covers. She donated everything with absolutely no charge as a donation to this incredible fundraiser. Her sense of urgency, desire to assist and willingness to go above and beyond is top notch. Chrissy handled my request with dignity and respect. Like a fairy godmother. Chrissy calmly took the reins from my inexperienced planning hands and flawlessly created a gorgeous table setting. She saved me money, time and most importantly, my sanity.Chrissy planned my daughter's wedding in 2010, her Baby Shower in 2013 and The WAY Center 5th Annual Tea and Fashion Show in 2016. Small, medium or large venue Chrissy takes on the task with dignity and grace. I cannot recommend Chrissy Craft from Ideal Design Events enough. She was the best decision my daughter made in the wedding planning, second to my daughter saying "Yes" to her husband. Family and friends commented that my daughter was the calmest bride they've known, and I it's because of Chrissy and her attention to detail and plan of action.Thank you Chrissy for everything you have done to make a positive difference to others. Located right on the beach, this place will truly be your home away from home. Beautiful, large balconies for the upstairs units, And large porches on the downstairs units that all face the water and allow for spectacular views. Exceptionally clean and home-like accommodations that immediately make you ready to nest and relax. Great air conditioning (a must in Florida). Fast wifi included dvd/blu ray player. All units have a spacious living room, fully equipped kitchen and dining area, bathroom with tub, and 2 or 3 bedrooms with various bed numbers. The two top units are separated by sliding doors in the kitchens, so if you have a large family to accommodate, you can easily do so, and remain connected. Lots of restaurants within walking distance, but LuLu's oysters rock-a-fella right across the street is something you shouldn't miss! The management is very efficient, helpful, and kind. They will do whatever you need to make your stay as comfortable as possible. It's not like a hotel/motel, it feels like a family beach house. You will love this place, it will feel like a second home. More...
