Family trip to New Orleans with a 17 year old, we did not want to stay in the middle of the French Quarter. We heard about the Hotel Storyville from a family member who knew Barbara the owner. We looked at it on line, and fell in love with it. Easy walking to the Quarter, easy walk to Jazzfest, and a homey/quaint non-chain hotel. We had a one bedroom, with a full kitchen (not that you should be cooking when in New Orleans), dinning area, and a livingroom with a pull-out couch. After long days of sightseeing, it was great to come back to comfortable setting and kick your feet up. It was clean, well decorated, and when we needed anything, they were right there for our request. The courtyard in the back is very pretty and probably a great place to hang out in the evening with a beverage of choice. There are also a few excellent restaurants in walking distance. This is our new hotel for all stays in NO. More...

We had an apartment-sized suite with full kitchen, livingroom and huge bedroom. There is an enormous courtyard behind the house, a balcony and front porch open to all guests with plenty of seating.Just a short walk from the Quarter but we never felt unsafe and walked many times at night. I love this place so much. I have stayed here twice. The first time was for my Aunts wedding two years ago. I loved it so much, I came back and brought 17 friends from Austin. Barbara is so accommodating and sweet. The rooms are FANTASTIC with so many amenities, to the huge private court yard. Not to mention you are walking distance to so many great restaurants, parades, jazz fest, the french quarters- I could go on. Look no further and book your stay at Hotel Storyville! More...
