Hot Spot Barbecue - BBQ

Absolutely the best BBQ place around! I travel a lot and love good BBQ. This place is hands down the best I believe I've had anywhere! Friendly staff from the owners, servers even the cooks! But most of all the food I felt was sent from heaven. I felt very welcome from the time I got out of my car and smelt the breath taking BBQ smell. Greeted by two employees before I ever stepped inside. Just a great atmosphere with great food. What more could a guy ask for. This will most definitely be a place I revisit everytime I get the pleasure of coming through this wonderful city! Great BBQ. Stopped by for the first time today for lunch. Ordered the pulled pork sandwich and baked beans. Service was fast and friendly and the food came out in just a few minutes. The sandwich was outstanding! And the portions were very generous. The beans were good as well. Can't wait to go back!! More...

Delicious!!!!! Me and my husband were driving by and were drawn in by the smell.The place is small but the food and the service was great. I had the brisket which was so tender that it just fell apart with my fork, my husband had the ribs which were fall off the bone and very juicy. The coleslaw was also very delicious. Absolutely amazing!. Never would have expected to find BBQ this great in Pensacola! As a Tennessee native and Texas transplant, I'm a BBQ critic. Great bbq i have had in the whole state of Florida. Tried the brisket and ribs, the ribs are huge and the meet falls if the bone. The brisket is so good and moist you could eat it without the bbq sauce and still enjoy. The bbq sauce is amazing as well as their pumpkin pie. I will be back again. More...

Great BBQ. I'm from Texas and have been looking for good BBQ for the last 20 years in Pensacola. It is nice to find a place that actually has sliced brisket and does it well. The waitresses have always been super nice. I've been three times and have always been impressed. Last time I took my family, my kids loved the BBQ chicken sandwich. It was just ok..... Redux...second try. ordered two BBQ sandwichs..beans and potato salad. BBQ pork sandwich is ok...after trying the beans, coleslaw, and potato salad, i can just recommend skipping them. very subpar sides...... Just tried this BBQ for the first time. It had a full dinning room of lunch time working men. The very small dinning room was full...which is always a good sign. I had the chopped pork sandwich with sauce on the side, and cole slaw. The sandwich was very good, tender smokey flavor. The sauce on the side was good idea, it had a little kick which was good..but the very distinctive taste and smell of canned Campbells Tomato soup for the base was unmistakable. It wasnt bad, just different that way. The cole slaw wasnt all that. I do plan to return to try ther other BBQ soon. More...

Hot Spot is the Place to Be. Great food great servers and cooks!! My favor dish is the chicken sandwich with mac and chesse/ grilled with Ham oh yea! ! 2nd favorite is the ribs and baked beans!! I've had pulled pork and ribs and they can hang with anyone in town. Great smoky flavor and a tangy sauce. Great location, close the the water and downtown.

Nice Place. Had lunch today at Hot Spot. I am always eager to try a new Bar-B-Que place. My friend and I each had a chopped pork sandwich and one side. I liked the que quite a bit and the sauce was just right, neither too tart nor too sweet. My side, baked beans, was really, really nice. Fancied up just right. I think they add some chopped smoked pork and onion, but not too much onion. The owner came by and chatted a bit. She is a real people person. The service was quite attentive, checking with us several times to see if we need anything. Now that I have had a lunch there, I want to go and have a full dinner soon, very soon. More...
