Customer service is 7 out of 5 stars. Very warm and friendly staff, so eager to help and feed you the best. The food is good. I always judge a Mediterranean restaurant by its falafel and baba ganaush . Falafel was amazing: crispy and fresh.Baba ganoush was good, but I would prefer more seasoning (I'd give it 4.7 stars). I will say here are the things going for this place:1) the basboosa with eshta (which is a semolina cake with a custard filling) 2) the hummus and baba ghanoug - it beats all memories I have of those "good ones" it's seriously the best I've had in a very long time3) staff were extremely friendly, although very busy the night I came, always had a smile The reason why they aren't five stars for me is two things:the chicken shawarma and the eggplant side- these two should have been the easiest but they were extremely terrible. The shawarma was easily hours if not days old and you could taste it. They were just not good at all. Another foot note; we had two entrees in our order and were only given one VERY COLD piece of bread. Luckily, we have plenty at home but I thought this was a very poor judgement call from them. My wife and I stopped by here and gave this place a try. We both had a hankering for middle eastern type food and just did a Yelp search in the local area. We were both very satisfied! I tried the chicken shawarma with chickpeas and rice and my wife had the beef with potatoes and rice. The flavors were spot on, the portion sizes were better than I expected and the staff were very friendly. They also gave us a mango chutney that was out of this world. Support small local businesses!!!Hot Chick Peas is such a cute name. I couldn't get over it cause I went from chicken to chickpeas so I couldn't wait to check them out. Thanks to Yelp, I was able to find them. First of all, I love me some falafels. Second of all, look at the great reviews!!!I read the reviews and was blown away. I have to check them out. I prepaid online to pick up. I ordered falafel laffa (wrap) and falafel platter (hummus, Israeli salad & pita included).Location is off Presidential Parkway and Chamblee Tucker Road. Unfortunately, due to the location, it doesn't stick out and is located in the back. Don't rely on your GPS and pay attention to the address number. I was looking around and someone sweet enough asked what I was looking for.Since I got Israeli salad as a side with my falafel platter, Hot Chick Peas is Israeli style. I was excited since I never had Israeli cuisine before. I know Middle East/Mediterranean food are all similar but has its own unique flavor. They were just open in May in the midst of the pandemic. They have so much potential. The staff is amazing!!Fresh pita was made right in front of my eyes, like seriously?? I never had that happen to me before. I was in full amazement. The fries are freshly cut and seasoned. They told me to get a napkin to get a piece of the fry, it is big and very hot in temperature.Presentation is on point. wrap and fries in a box and sealed. The platter are in other containers in a huge bag.I haven't eaten all day and it's close to 3 pm. I couldn't help it but I opened up the box to take a bite of the falafel wrap. It is huuuuuge!! One bite and now I am spoil. I want fresh pitas only from now on. The falafel reminded me of the Lebanese falafel I had cause they both put pickles in the wrap except Hot Chick Peas taste better cause of the fresh wrap. It makes a difference.I was only able to eat like 3/5 of the wrap. It was that big. I couldn't finish the fries either. I bought the platter to eat later on but seems I will have more for tomorrow. I have been to Israel only once, but I love the cuisine. There is a huge emphasis on quality ingredients including fresh produce. I found this restaurant while wandering through the PREP campus. Such friendly folks serving authentic dishes cooked to order. I also like the melding of Jewish + Arab Christian personalities which is very typical of that region, yet little understood here. I cannot begin to say enough about this wonderful restaurant we just found It's located in an office complex surrounded by several other gem restaurants. I had the beef and lamb Shawarma, it was absolutely the best I've ever had along with the best pitas  I've ever had in my life. This place is amazing! I haven't had a schwarma this good since I was in Israel. I'm pretty sure it was actually better than most Israeli schwarmas come to think of it. We ordered takeout via grub hub and I got the schawarma in laffa (which I like better than pita- think middle eastern super soft tortilla). The price for the value was amazing. It is huge, bigger than chipotle huge and full amazing tender juicy lamb. It lasted me lunch, dinner, and then some. The roasted eggplant, hummus, and israeli salad were all super fresh. This place was AMAZING!! We actually have been wanting to try it for a while and we should have tried it sooner! We ordered delivery from grub hub, so I can't speak for what the restaurant looks like, but the food was so good we will be adding this to our list of favorites! The entree size was enough for two meals and the taste was very authentic to true flavors of the Mediterranean. Everything was made with fresh ingredients and Was amazingly healthy. We called to ask a few questions prior to our order and the gentleman on the other line was helpful, polite, and very professional. You can tell he cares about his customers. He even called us after we put our order into grub hub in order to clarify a few of the items. It was obvious that they wanted to get things right and meet our expectations.
