What do you love most about your job?
I love to help people find a good way forward when they are facing tough situations. When someone is able to say, "This is what I'm going to do now," and I know that it's their decision not mine, I feel like I have served them well. I have spent my career studying leaders and leadership principles. I am both a practitioner and a teacher, and the greatest joy I have is to see people be successful in their lives.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have been helping people throughout my career as a pastor, a chaplain, and as a leadership consultant. Now that I am almost 60, I'm focused more and more on helping others with the challenges they face in business, life, and relationships.
Why should our clients choose you?
First of all, I'm a practitioner when it comes to leadership. I've led small and large organizations, and I've had both success and failure. I've faced a lot of challenges in my life so I know what it's like to feel driven, afraid, exhilarated, uncertain, alone, and responsible--all at the same time. I can listen without passing judgment because I know we're all just human. And I have had to be resilient, so I am very focused on helping others be resilient even when they feel discouraged.
Second, over the last decade I've led over 500 leadership workshops focused on leaders from both small and large organizations. The people in these workshops have been at various levels within the organization: Executive Level, Middle-Management, and Frontline Supervisors, so no matter where you are at in your career, I've worked with a lot of people in a similar situation.
Third, I am a student of both leadership and coaching. Studying leadership has helped me understand the challenges of leaders. Studying coaching has helped me understand how to help leaders. I'm not the answer man. I'm a partner with you in discovering the way forward that works best for you.
