Simply the best! We were so very fortunate to be able to connect with Rick and Brenda during their recent trip to MN. They are so responsive and accommodating that scheduling was a snap - making it possible to do a photo shoot with all the cousins while family was in town over the weekend. It had been a few years since we last met with Rick and still he remembered all of the kids' names and things that they liked to do. He has such good rapport with people of all ages and is just genuinely a good human being. He joked about doing my boys' graduation photos when he is 90 because he doesn't see himself ever stopping. What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Meaningful images have little to do with mega bytes, resolutions, etc. It has so much more to do with timing, light, angles, personal repore and creativity that generally comes from lots of experience.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
What is the end result or purpose you are seeking in these images? What is your timeline - how soon will you be needing professionally finished photographs, and in what medium, ie: framed artwork for a wall?, digital files with copyright? etc.
What do you love most about your job?
I would say, mostly, the chance to be as creatively, expressive as I can. The gratification comes from knowing I made images that have real meaning to my clients, whether a business executive, a new mom, or for a large event's story.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I grew up in a very relationally close family. When my older brother realized his shared interest in photography it was very natural for us to start this adventure together. My father followed suit shortly after as our business director and a little sister originally managed our office.

Maybe our experience. But, as importantly, in making your decision please be assured that we will be working for and with you. The best outcome for your goals is our goal as well.

We do our best to keep up with changing needs. The first viewing of the images is typically within a day or so through our website. Images may be purchased on-line as well, whether your need is digital files with copyright release or photographic hard prints that you can gift, or frame. Professional artwork and/or retouching is included with individually purchased images. Many of our current clients prefer to purchase all the images digitally and have them either uploaded directly to them or delivered on a Flash drive. Sometimes phone calls are a good way to discuss any questions.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
It is a challenge when much of our work is up close with our clients. Mask-wearing is still considered where necessary, and distancing. I believe my recent vaccinations give me a bit more confidence during this time.
