New bar seems to be an upgrade from the old Clancy's days. Menu is big enough but not overwhelming; waitresses are swift and get everything right; and the food is good.If I had any qualms, the IPAs on draft are too minimal and the fries aren't the best. Tried this place  last weekend. We did make a reservation because of the Halloween weekend. Our server was extremely efficient and friendly. They have a lot of different food choices that are not  just the usual. I had the chicken dumpling soup and the village salad. They were both fresh and homemade. I came in here to pick up my order of Irish egg rolls and dinner. Was here once before for my aunt's birthday. The pizza I remember was amazing i recommend this place to anyone going for drinks or going to eat because the kitchen was open late. ...... and I don't  know about any of the other people's reviews but I ordered a carryout it was ready early but some nice girl told me that the bar was her home bar, and she was from Auburn Hills!!!   It kinda felt like it had a click or regulars but as soon as I walked in I was greeted and welcomed  by a regular and she informed me of all the specials and trivia night even beer pong. She was so welcoming. I ended up staying for a drink THE BEST PATRON AND MARGARITA MIX ON THE ROCKS WITH SALT AND OLIVES.!!! THE BARTENDER NAILED IT WITH... A HUGE PORTION OF MY POISON OF CHOICE. ....PATRON..... To sum it up I went in a bar alone. Sat alone. And no one approached me asking to buy me a drink or my number!!!!    that girl....from Auburn Hills just made me feel like it was my home bar as well. I went at 12:30 on a Thursday..... The only time I've ever been here was for a beer pong tournament. And that was a very fun experience. I think it's my only experience actually doing that inside of a bar instead of at a house party. I remember the drinks were really good and so was the service. I can't remember if I ate but I feel like everyone else did and said the food was good. The bouncers outside were really funny. I didn't eat any of the entrees or sandwiches, so this review is only for drinks and an appetizer. The lighting is pretty dim in here, but we sat down and received prompt service. My date had a beer and a shot of tequila and I had a gin and tonic. The tonic was standard, well chilled, and of a normal size. I can't complain about it at all. The appetizer we ordered was chips and salsa. The chips came out hot and crispy (although slightly greasy), and the salsa tasted fairly fresh and of a better quality despite having absolutely no spice to it. Pleasantly surprised, and better than expected. I remember when it was Rosie O'Grady's and a bit of a dive. Looks like they've updated the place a bit. Got the Groupon and arrived during happy hour. Clancy's Irish Pub opened about one year ago, and it is located between 18 and 19 Mile roads in Clinton Township, which is a suburb northeast of Detroit. The pub has a laidback atmosphere and is great for watching sports or enjoying Karaoke on Tuesday nights. The menu offers pizza, salads, burgers, sandwiches and more. The portions are large, and all the food I've seen here looks appetizing. This food is much better than your average pub grub. Also, the bar always has cheap beer. It's like the Happy Hour that never ends. The one thing that really sets Clancy's apart from other bars in the Metro Detroit area is its monsterous 5 lb. Champion Burger challenge. You get 45 minutes to eat the 2.5 lb patty topped with a pound of bacon plus pickles, lettuce, cheese and tomatoes. Oh yeah, as if that weren't enough, there is one pound of French fries on the side. Only two people have been able to tackle the feat thus far! It's free for those who finish, and anyone who beats the champ's time will get their name placed on a burger-shaped championship belt... like WWE wrestlers or champion boxers receive. More...
