I LOVED my experience with Havenly. My designer listened to my needs and budget preferences, incorporated personal pieces that were important to keep, provided multiple design concepts, worked to craft a 3D rendering of my space, and linked all decor in her design for easy purchase! My designer presented ideas that would refresh the library now, as well as 3D renderings of what a finished space could look like when we were ready. This is my second time using Havenly. They helped with my dining room and living room about a year ago and with a guest bedroom this time. Our designer was much slower to respond this time. Every deadline was missed (e.g., first concept, initial design, renderings). She always got back to me and said once that she was out of the country and a second time that she had wisdom teeth removed. Those both sound serious - maybe she shouldn’t have been given a project or the deadlines should have been adjusted because she was going to be out.

On the one hand, it is nice that everything can be ordered through Havenly. However, shipping costs and delivery date estimates aren’t included when the order is placed. I learned this the first time and checked to see when the bed would be delivered. It was backordered until April. Thankfully I checked and was able to avoid waiting for three months. I emailed the designer to ask for other options, but it took her several days to get back to me. In the meantime, I ordered a bed through Wayfair and it was delivered before she responded.

It hasn’t come up this time, but an advantage that Havenly advertises is that the designer can work with you on returns. That was not my experience with my first design, as I was quickly routed to the returns department whenever there was a problem and my designer wasn’t able to answer any questions.

Overall, the rooms look good, but there is definitely room for Havenly to improve the logistics of their system. More...

I ordered a rug through havenly for 187 after they charge my card for that amount I get an email the next day saying that the price was incorrect and the rug was actually 380, which is twice the amount that they've already charged me. I emailed them asking if they could honor the original price for the rug and they emailed back saying no because the price is meant for a different sized rug. I let them know I budgeted for this rug and this size and if they could honor it since they've already charged me. They just stopped responding to me after this and I still have the 187 dollar charge on my card. So now I feel like I paid 187 dollars for nothing. Do not recommend either their design service or ordering. I have had a bed delayed in shipping, then in turn shipped to the wrong address due to how EXTREMELY SLOW their customer service is in change requests. The designs are ok, but the ordering is absolutely atrocious. Lack of customer service or care is why you should stick away from this company. I had a great experience with the designer. But the great experience stops there. I ordered most of the pieces recommended, and when they arrived I realized I had been completely misled with their store. I received items that had been ordered off of Amazon for a 1/3 the cost, one item even arrived in the Amazon box!! They don’t list the real brand of the item in their store because they don’t want you to look it up and buy it elsewhere. When I emailed customer service about a price match after opening my shipments and looking the branded items up online, they said they have a 48hr price match policy, so I was outside the window. Complete BS- how can I ask for a priceMatch up front if you mislead us about the brand?!

Overall a somewhat negative experience. Designs are essentially photoshop. For extra $$, you can get a floor plan. Designers, while well-meaning and hardworking, are clearly swamped with work. My designer provided good work (the designs were good), but the designs really didn't fit what I was looking for. It appears that designers are not able to back out of a project if it turns out their aesthetic doesn't match the client, so if it doesn't work, you're pushing a Sisyphusean rock up the hill. And designers aren't well compensated either; Havenly nowhere explains that the vast majority of the compensation comes from purchases on the website. And the UI of their online shop is awful. If I could give this company 0 stars I would. This has been a nightmare of an experience. I used two competitor sites and had nothing but great experiences. My first designer quit before finishing the project. I then was placed with someone else who made multiple mistakes along the way including recommending a mural for us that didn't fit our wall and not communicating with me about sizing. I was really stuck on how to finish my new office space and needed a little guidance and push in the right direction with product recommendations such as a rug, small side table, lamps and some decor. I kept searching for things in-store and online and then not purchase anything because it got too overwhelming. I got to work with Danielle for my project and she was AMAZING! We started off with a phone call so I could give her the details of what I wanted/needed in the space. I was very happy to see that she took all of my feedback into count when designing the space. Additionally, she was very patient with me, doing several mock-ups so I could have a visual of the space with different rugs because she knew that was one of my most important pieces. Taking that extra step was so appreciated. Overall, Danielle was really great and would highly recommend her to anyone.The one downfall with Havenly, I had to wait 3 weeks for her to start my project. I actually ended up going with a different designer in the beginning that was immediately available. However, I didn’t like that person as much so Havenly worked to switch me to Danielle (the person I wanted from the start, haha). So, in the end she was well WORTH THE WAIT. Maybe I am confused about how this works, but they appear to be a third party that finds furniture and decor from other retailers, but advertise items as if they are the sellers. I used Havenly for a living room/piano room. I felt that I had been very up front about our needs and what we wanted to include. I also chose specific pictures of what we liked and described in detail WHAT I liked about them. My designer didn’t seem to follow our style, traditional/transitional, and also suggested pieces that frankly, looked a bit cheap. She also questioned the size of rug that I had already purchased for the room (which was an appropriate size considering there was going to be a baby grand piano in the room.) It wasn’t worth the money... after going through multiple iterations I felt defeated and just said “fine, we can be done.” Would an interior designer charge a little more than Havenly? Maybe. But at least I would’ve been listened to more and I could’ve benefited by getting access to trade pieces that were of a higher quality. Do not recommend! More...

We used Havenly to help design how we furnished our deck and we used the service to order the furniture. Havenly was helpful with the design, but completely unhelpful and unresponsive when their preferred vendors delivered broken and incomplete furniture. Since we made the purchase through Havenly, the vendors would not work with us to fix the issue and Havenly wouldn’t be an advocate for us. We were initially really pleased with one experience with Havenly, but ran into issues when some of the more expensive items purchased began showing quality issues and abnormal wear-and-tear. Specifically, we purchased an ottoman through Havenly from CB2 and the stitching/seam tore and the ottoman started coming apart less than a year from delivery with minimal use. When we reached out to Havenly about it, they said CB2 calls that normal wear. We wouldn’t have purchased those pieces had we known that a $650 ottoman wasn’t designed to hold up for a year. More...

My experience with designer Francisco Volpte was excellent. He listened to my needs, respected my aesthetic, and was mindful of choosing items within my budget. It was great to see the images come to life in my actual house. The only reason I’m taking away a star is the customer support could at times be lacking. I purchased (3) packages through Havenly during a Memorial Day sale, and I have used 2 so far to help design and furnish my living, dining and bedroom in a new condo. I have been working with Katherine on both projects, and I have been blown away. She immediately understood my (very specific) style, aesthetic, needs and budget. She is incredibly responsive, fast, thorough, thoughtful and knows the product range of Havenly up and down. She has gone above and beyond to ensure my experience has been top notch and that I will be happy with the final product. We are in the final 3D stage of both of these rooms and I have purchased almost every item through her and Havenly. Now during the ordering and shipping process, Katherine has remained on top of everything, creating easy tracking in one place for my shipping (chronologically) and has remained steadfast on ensuring the whole experience is positive and done start to finish! I had high hopes for using Havenly to update my living room. My two goals in getting some help were: 1) see what a designer would suggest for a layout - with specific challenges around TV placement, and 2) see what an updated color palette and layout could/would look like before purchasing furniture/rug/etc. Unfortunately, nothing that the Heavenly 'designer' provided was helpful. It didn't appear that she had reviewed any of the rooms that I put into my project list, or had any idea what I was going for. The renderings that came through had incorrect room measurements and left out a key piece of furniture; the suggested solution for the challenging TV placement was to put it above my fireplace (not exactly the designer insight and creativity I was hoping for). The whole goal seems to be to help people shop for products (versus actually provide design expertise); if you need someone to shop for products, maybe you'll have a better experience. More...

I really wanted to love this experience. My designer came up with some lovely options for us. I was able to purchase the items that were in budget. Unfortunately, there were a number of disappointments that I could ignore individually but collectively made for a less than favorable experience. My designer suggested a piece for my entryway that I absolutely loved. I had given her proper measurements, but when I went to double check how it would look in the space, it was one inch too wide. My design included some picture frames to be hung on the wall. When they arrived, they were table top frames only with no way to add hanging mounts. I'm still unclear if I'm going to be refunded the shipping cost that I already paid for them. All in all, there have been too many headaches for my liking. More...

I'm so upset and angry at this whole experience. I purchased the Havenly Full Package to help design my new living room - The designs was just so basic and essentially just a smattering of random furniture items put together (if you look at the final design we were given, you'd be shocked that this is what someone trained in interiors is proposing). We provided detailed feedback and specific requests each time we were sent a design but the designer was absolutely not hearing us, we might as well have not provided any feedback at all. I wouldn't be able to recommend this service to anyone as we got absolutely nothing out of it, the designer did nothing that we couldn't have done ourselves. I worked with Catrina on my home office/guest room design project. She was wonderful! She worked with me to create a whimsical yet professional design in a room that was half-started and admittedly not easy to come up with a fresh, modern design given the room constraints (wall to wall carpet anyone? ). Not only did she provide me with multiple revised concepts to tweak my design, but she also has continued to follow up with me as the products have been coming in to make minor adjustments and suggestions which has made the room really sparkle. Havenly overall has provided an affordable way for me (not-design oriented person at all) to create a beautiful space for myself with my style. My most recent experience with Catrina was excellent. This was terrible. I ordered the full design package for my living room and the designer gave me very basic designs that looked like no effort was put in no matter how much feedback I gave her. After my second design came out looking practically the same, awful, AND over a week late, I told my designer I was no longer interested in completing the process. I also called the company for a refund, which *shocker* did not happen even though a promise of a refund came with the package that I paid for. The company didn’t answer the phone, ON A WEEKDAY, and I had to leave a message requesting a refund and a callback and again *shocker* I never received either of those things. I decided I had it in me to decorate my own place and can do a MUCH better job than these whack ass designers, even though I work over 40 hours a week and barely have the time to do it. I purchased the Havenly Full to design my bedroom for a new home I was moving into. The site estimated 7-10 business days for a full design, but I received the final design almost 3 weeks later. The designer sent designs that were clearly template (I googled the designer and found the same exact design they sent me on their personal site). The designer also offered multiple pieces that were out of stock, and so I kept having to pick new designs. I also specifically asked for a design idea for a specific unique space in the room, which the designer never addressed, and when I asked about it at the end, they stated that they could not design that area. Overall, the designs provided were very generic and nothing that I could not do using a furniture store's online design tool. I did receive a full refund for the design fee once I contact Havenly customer service. However, this doesn't make me want to try the service again. More...
