We have used Happy Tails for board about once or twice a year for several years. We've always been happy with how accommodating Christine has been, especially when I have forgotten to make arrangements for our buddy until the last minute. This past Spring, our pup was at Christine's and she noticed he was not himself (sluggish, blood in his urine); she called us daily with updates and eventually took him to our vet, and then to the pet ER when things escalated. We fully believe that Christine and her partner saved his life. While he was in the hospital, Christine checked in daily to see how he was doing/prognosis. We are so grateful for Christine and happy tails. More...

Our pooch has been going to Happy Tails for the past 2 years. He has bonded with Christine's crew and we have noticed that he is much more relaxed when he comes back home compared to the other doggy day care places we used to take him. My wife and I travel a lot and we have no concerns when we board our dog. Christine always makes sure to send us pics of him and his buddies. We highly recommend Happy Trails! More...

Our puppy loves going to Happy Tails. He wags his tail whenever a car door opens because he thinks he's going to Happy Tails. It is easy to see that Christine cares so much about the dogs in her care. It's such a relief to see our puppy becoming more comfortable with our dogs -- and even people. More...

We were introduced to Happy Tails and the owner Christine right after we got our dog from some good friends of ours - and I'm so happy that we were! She came to our home to meet our dog Chewy and make sure that he would get along with the other dogs. All went well - so we started sending him to playgroup every weekday. He gets picked up every morning around 9 and dropped off around 1. It's perfect because he gets his energy out, especially on those days when it's cold/raining/snowing when we aren't able to get him out for a long walk. They also offer boarding for when you're out of town and need someone to watch your dog. The best part of it all? Christine is an awesome person. You can text her last minute when you need boarding, to cancel a day, etc - she always replies and helps. I just texted her, "I don't think I've ever been so happy working with a company. You guys are awesome" - so figured it would be worth putting on Yelp. ;-) Thanks! More...

I've been really happy with Christine's services. I've had her take care of my puppy, JJ, during all of my recent trips. She's responsive when I text to see how things are going, and JJ always comes home tired and happy. I love knowing that JJ is at her home, with her own dogs. I'd definitely recommend Happy Tails! I recently started sending our pup to Happy Tails.  I can say that we love the service that Happy Tails provides.  In the morning with two people working things can be sort of hectic in the morning and Happy Tails understands that.  They pick him up in the morning and then drop our dog off later in the afternoon before we come home which helps tremendously and takes one less thing out of our busy work week. Each time our dog goes to Happy Tails we notice a big difference, he is tied and one happy dog.  When we come home from work he is always up for round two of playing, but if we can't get him to the dog park he is satisfied with having been to Happy Tails. One more thing I would like to add is that the staff does a great job at noticing if our dog has food left from breakfast and is sure to put it up high so the cat can't get it (our cat will eat the dogs food if it's out) and then the food is back down for him to enjoy when he is done playing in doggie daycare. Thanks again Happy Tails! I feel so lucky to have been referred to Christine.  For the first time, within minutes, I knew I had found the right person to care for my Chiweenie (Boo) when needed.  I felt comfortable and knew he was in the best hands.  Christine's reliability became an important role in my life.  I knew with just a phone call or text that she would be there caring for my baby.  Boo was always excited to be picked up and came home exhausted.  To me, this is the outcome of a successful day in a dogs world!  Christine also gave me the opportunity to adopt a dog she rescued from Cozumel and Tia is now a great part of the family.  Christine would now pick up the two of them and if she hadn't heard from me in a while, she would check in with me, all just to make sure my dogs were ok and she was there if we needed her.  I can't imagine anyone caring about someone else's pets as much as she does.  I highly recommend her services to anyone who is looking for the best! Christine and her team are AWESOME.  I have been working with her now since approx 2007.  I have worked with a few members of her team (including Tracy and more recently Alecia) - they are all wonderful.  My 18 month old Lab (Joppa) goes to play group EVERYDAY.After putting my last dog down in 2010, I bought another puppy (Dec 2013) and Christine very patiently and methodically talked to me about the benefits, rewards and RESPONSIBILITY of bringing a puppy in the home as a full time working pet Mom.  In addition, when my last Lab (who lived until 14.5 years) was winding down, instead of going to play group, Happy Tails would come over and take him on private little walks just to give him a little relief - I was so grateful how they cared for him in his old age.  Christine is an incredible source of advice (along with my breeder and vet) as far as my decisions for pet care.  She is definitely part of my Professional Pet Team.Alecia is primarily responsible for picking up Joppa, and she is always communicating with me when I have concerns or when I have last minute schedule changes she adapts.  I have boarded Joppa for over a week there as well on a few occasions, and he loves it!He recently ate a pair of little socks (I know, bad Mom), and I got reports from Alecia of sock sightings coming out the other end.  I was worried he'd be blocked, and the Happy Tails Team made sure to keep an extra close eye on him.  They care for your pets, and are very conscientious - I totally trust them.THANK YOU HAPPY TAILS, we love you!!!Brooke and Joppa More...

We have been sending Calisi, our Rhodesian Ridgeback to Happy Tails since she was 3 months old, for the past 1 1/2 years for day camp twice a week. We would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone we know and in fact, we do! Calisi looks forward to these days and is so very excited when she sees the van pull up and hears John at the door. She usually is passed out until we come home and has had great socialization there as well as a lot of exercise. She has boarded for some weekends here and there and Christine has been so great with assuring me that she would just feel like she was at an extended play group and on her own vacation! I can easily get in touch with Christine via text message and am able to make last minute changes, they are flexible and very accommodating. I completely trust our girl in their hands and that is priceless to me! More...

Have used Christine's service since August 2012.  Having my medium sized docile but active dog picked up, socializing and playing, and then dropped off as needed during the day is huge.  She is tired when I get home and happy.  The few times I have been home when she is picked up, she is excited and runs to the door to go.  No hanging back or hesitance on her part.Love the option of letting her board overnight when needed and knowing she is in a home environment instead of a kennel.Week-end day visits or boarding available easily thus far also. Can not beat the pickup and drop off service.  Superb value.Christine is very easy to communicate with  via texting. I was introduced to Happy Tails from a coworker who had already referenced 3 other dogs from her neighborhood to Christine, all of whom were completely pleased with how their dogs were treated. The 5 stars are for me. Other people might not like some of the things about Happy Tails, but I've had two separate dogs over 5 years, and Christine has really gone above and beyond in my view to give them a great experience.I will second what other reviewers have said - email is a bad way to communicate with the staff here, voicemail is an okay way (it's checked every other day), and text is a speedy and responsive way to communicate with Christine. That being said, that's the "business" side of things, and it works perfectly fine. Anyone can accept scheduling changes and cash checks in a timely fashion, and Happy Tails does that. What makes it exceptional is that is a dog-positive environment. This is not someone looking to make a buck off people who will pay anything to have someone else take care of their dog. This is someone who will meet your dog in person, talk through their personality, see what things work well for your dog, and then give him/her a happy place to play with other pups.I've been to Happy Tails' facility, and it is big, secure, and well-supervised. My dog isn't great with other pups, so she keeps my dog indoors with the 4 that make up her pack to get the dynamic established, then supervises visits with a few dogs at a time. It has made a world of difference, and I agree with another poster who wishes more folks in my neighborhood would socialize their dogs! Regardless, this kind of care is exceptional in the dog-care world, particularly at the very fair prices charged. I know Happy Tails also helps a few foster groups, so I like knowing that my money is getting something I highly value, and contributing to good causes for the animals. More...

My Boo bear has been going to Happy Tails for almost a year now. My landlord used to send his dog there when he lived in the area. The week after we adopted Boo we met with Christine and decided to try it out.  Boo gets picked up Monday through Friday and dropped back off at the house when the playdate is over. I've never had a problem with the service or my door being left unlocked. Amanda, the woman who comes to pick up Boo, is awesome. I text her when my schedule changes and it's no problem. I gave Amanda my camera once and she took a bunch of pictures for me. Boo looked happy as a clam. Boo was 7 when we adopted him and aggressive towards other dogs. Since going to regular playdates he's chilled out a lot and actually gets along with strange dogs on the street and in the park. I wish more people in my neighborhood socialized their dogs. More...

My puppy has been going for about 2 months now.  He is in the small dog section and right now he seems to be very happy when Mike comes to pick him up and he is tired when he comes home.  Its convenient that they pick up and drop off service.  And you can choose from 1 day to 5 days a week and change when ever you would like to... which is all too conventient for me.So, all in all, I give Christine and her staff a big thumbs up...  I especially like Mike - he is such a sweet guy and really cares for the dogs. The one thing I don't like is that I can't visit my dog at playgroup.  So, its hard to see if he is happily running around or just sitting in a corner scared.  Christine says that I can visit when there is no playgroup going on... but its a liability if I go there with all the dogs.  So, I need to trust that he really is having a good time. We've been using Happy Tails for about three years for our nine year old pug. He goes to playgroup twice a week, more if we plan to be late etc, and has stayed one overnight.  I've been home at different times when they've come to get the dog and drop him off.  We've never had our home door left open. He seems well taken care of, to enjoy going, and we've never had an incidences.  I'm happy with the care the dog receives. Happy Tails is also very flexible. You can make scheduling changes with more flexibility than other services (as long as you call before the drivers leave) and Christine works with you to meet your dog's needs. When my pug was sick last year and could not attend playgroup, they substituted afternoon walks instead. I cannot comment on play related injuries as my pug is older and doesn't do a lot of play. He has come home with the occassional scratch but nothing serious. I think for the most part he wanders around sniffing the grass and looking for grubs. Extreme heat and cold are dangerous for pugs and Happy Tails has access to an all season room (cool in the summer and warm in the winter) and is sensitive to the needs of specific breeds.  The reason for the four stars and not five is mainly administrative. As other posts indicate, Christine is not a heavy user of email. The best way to reach her is really to leave a voicemail and she'll get back you. She's always returned my calls promptly but email would be more convenient. We've also had some snafus with billing (as in I'd never get a bill and then there would be resulting confusion) and now I keep my own records.  On the whole, my pug is happy there and I can rely on them to take care of him. Let me just start off by saying, yes, my hound is spoiled. Are you over it, and can handle the fact that there are dogs who go to play groups while their owners are earning the money to pay for it? If so, read on. If not, go find another review to entertain yourself with!Christine, owner of Happy Tails, has taken care of B for the better part of the last year. He goes to "play group" twice a week, to stay well-socialized with other pooches, and to get him out of my hair so that I can do my grocery shopping and whatnot. B also stays overnight with her when I'm vacationing or away for business, for what amounts to about one week out of every two months. So far, my experience with Happy Tails has largely been great. Christine and her employees reliably arrive to pick up and drop off Bentley, and he seems to have fun there. Christine is really in-tune with the dogs, I think, and definitely seems to have their best interests at heart. She's great about feeding whatever foods and treats you supply for your dog (in case, like mine, yours has a sensitive tummy and shouldn't eat just anything), and administering medicines and supplements. She brushes B while he's staying with her too, so he routinely comes back to me looking better than when he went!Christine always has a handful of dogs living with her, and so when B goes to stay for overnights, he's integrated into her pack. Mostly the pack is stable (not too many transient dogs coming and going), and so he's familiar with them, and they with him, and it seems to do him good to learn how to not be a spoiled only-dog, if only for a week.I have to admit, B can be a handful. He's one of those dogs who "has issues." What's truly awesome is that Christine and the Happy Tails folks take this in stride, and work with (and sometimes around) him on it. The occasional growly behavior or scuffle isn't thought of as a cause for hysteria, and is calmly dealt with. I know other folks who have had dogs with similar behavioral problems summarily kicked out of their daycare or boarding places, and am so thankful that Christine has a more flexible policy. I do get the sense that if a dog had truly dangerous aggression problems, and were a threat to the other animals, her, or her staff, she'd deal with it appropriately, too.One thing to back up that supposition: Christine does not insist that you sign a release absolving her of responsibility for your dog's health and welfare. You'd be shocked by how many doggie daycares I interviewed in the Boston area that did just that (with gruesome legalese stating that they're absolutely not responsible if your dog dies in their care). Also, how many of these places that do boarding actually leave the dogs unattended ALL THROUGH THE NIGHT. Once they're put in cages and the lights are out, the people all go home. Not with Christine! The dogs sleep on beds and cushions, cage-free, in her home.OK, at this point, if you're still reading, you're going to wonder why I'm giving Happy Tails four stars instead of five. Just a couple of relatively minor things: 1) B once came home from an overnight stay with a very minor bite wound to his ear, which went unnoticed and so unreported to me; 2) Christine isn't great about answering her phone, and never ever responds to emails. Once you learn her communication style though, it's really no big deal. I know she's getting the emails (which I send to book overnights for Bentley), and I also know she'd call me back were it urgent. More...

After attending animal science program while working in a nursing home caring for people I knew this is what I wanted to do with animals as well.

Experience says it all. learned all my mistakes in the beginning.

We pick up and drop-off or clients can directly come to my home to do this.

All drivers were mask. each client is different in what they want. some clients will come out with dog and some have us come in. we practice good hand hygiene.

Services

playgroup is 2-3 hours for you dog to get exercise and socialize with other dogs or just hang out with the humans! Longer day may be an option.
