Our retiree group chose Hall's for out monthly outing. We had the dining room to ourselves and we had a great time. The food was very good and the room temperature was perfect. The chairs weren't very comfortable, but we were having such a great time, I didn't hear anyone complain. More...

So happy to have seen the Hall’s Tavern sign when leaving Fort Boonesborough. We stopped in around 12:30 for lunch. The atmosphere, service and food was all amazing. We had the Banana Pepper’s and Beer Cheese appetizers, also super enjoyed the pulled pork sandwich. We also had Cougar Bait Beer...yum! Hopefully we are able to find the beer and cheese back home. The history of the establishment and the ambiance is what will make us come back here with out of town family members. We came for dinner and the food was tasty. The service was a little slow since our waitress was also a bar back and hostess. She did her best to appease when at our table but the service lagged in between ordering and receiving food. Also their credit card machine was down. There is poor cell phone service inside the restaurant. We ordered the fried green tomatoes appetizer and they were delicious. We ordered a beer cheese burger which was not over seasoned. We had kids with us so the children's portions was sizable for the $6.99 price. My wife ordered the shrimp skewers with rice pilaf, steamed broccoli, and sun dried tomato pesto. That was a very delicious comb priced for $16.99. We also dined on blackberry cobbler with vanilla ice cream. It was good together, but the cobbler didn't have flaky or crumble crust so it wasn't a showcased product. More...

Great food. A unique place along the Kentucky river. Good service and they have a full bar. I like to eat dinner here and then hike the John Holder trail which starts just across the road. A beautiful and peaceful walk.

Took lots of pics here. The stream near the Resturaunt & bridge was really nice. The trail was amazing.. We left here to find Daniel No ones Fort. It was awesome in itself.

We had the turkey club with fries. The sandwich was very good. The fries were just okay. Service was very good. It's a beautiful setting on the river with lots of trees all around.
