Haley took photos of our extended family while we were vacationing and celebrating our parents 40th wedding anniversary. She was cheery and bubbly, and didn't even flinch when we showed up 15 people deep with 7 kids under the age of 5! She was a quick shot, organized and she made us all feel at ease. Haley is AMAZING! We have absolutely loved working with her since day one. My husband and I were looking for a photographer up in the Idaho Falls / Rexburg area, since we knew we wanted to do our engagements up there at the dunes (It’s where we had our first date). We weren’t sure if we wanted to book a full wedding package yet since we weren’t sure if we wanted to find one a little bit closer to home (we live in Utah) and planning a backyard wedding and didn’t want to spend an arm and a leg for the whole thing. Haley was so awesome and patient with us as we bombarded her with questions just to make sure she understood what our vision was and our thoughts and our concerns. We decided to book her for it all, we loved what her package had to offer, her willingness to travel, and of course her style. Haley is so funny and fun and willing to do just about anything to make sure she gets the best photo and she LOVES dogs! Haley is PERFECTION!! She traveled to Florida to take my elopement photos. She met us on the beach at 5:30am for sunrise photos and told us exactly what to do!
She got STUNNING photos! We let her know that we are awkward and are the furthest from being models but I wouldn’t know that from looking at her pictures!! EVERY PICTURE WAS MAGIC! She then took pictures of us at the place we were married and again, PURE AMAZINGNESS! I cannot put in words how great it was working with Haley. When people found out I had eloped, their first reaction wasn’t “what?!” It was OMG YOUR PICTURES ARE BEAUTIFUL! I will never stop staring at them! What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
I don't think there really is a secret, it just depends who's style you like best and of course who you think relates to you/ connects with you the most!
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
Definitely know what your schedules look like and have a few dates in mine or have a finalized date for your wedding day/ session date. Its okay if you are unsure on locations or outfit ideas. I am totally here to help guide you through the whole pre process before a session occurs!
What do you love most about your job?
I firmly believe when two people find something in common, working together always means so much more. I strive to get to know my HLP clients very well, just like If we had been friends forever. Along with capturing your story in live motion, getting to know someone or a couple and their families mean so much to me than being "just a client". You place a lot of trust in me to making sure your wedding day or session is captured just the way you envision it! Well, lemme just say, I gotchu! We are going to be GREAT FRIENDS! We will spend a lot of time getting to know each other and making sure all your needs are taken care of without the worry when your big day or session comes up. I want to value our new friendship and the trust behind it!
Why should our clients choose you?
If you sick with a disease or a type of cancer, would you visit a general doctor at a Urgent Care who kind of knows a little bit of everything, or a doctor who is a specialist in a specific area? Hopefully you chose a doctor specialist! Same with photography. You want to chose a photographer who will take your investment seriously since you are investing in their specialty. I am one who is loyal to you, who will take your investment seriously and provide the best of the best experience and end results!
