We are a small family-owned business that specializes in everything soul food. With special detail to homegrown or Alabama-grown products. We cater to small and large crowds of up to 300 guests with a budget to match all aspects of the event so that when the event comes you don't have to do anything but show up ready to eat great tasting food.

How do you go about creating the perfect menu for your clients?
I ASK THEM WHAT THEY LIKE, WHAT THEY WANT TO TRY BUT HAVE BEEN AFRAID TO, AND WHAT THEY WISH THEY COULD PREPARE AND I TRY AND GIVE THEM DISHES FROM EACH CATEGORY. OTHERS SIMPLY SAY WHAT THEY WANT AND I PUT MY SPIN ON IT.
What do you love most about your job?
I LOVE TO COOK IT RELAXES ME AND IT MAKES ME HAPPY TO SEE PEOPLE COME TOGETHER AND ENJOY EACH OTHER OVER CONVERSATION AND GREAT FOOD. LIKE MEETING DIFFERENT PEOPLE AS WELL.
What inspired you to start your own business?
MY DAUGHTERS NEED TO BE IN EVERYTHING RELATED TO SPORTS, ROTC, AND CHEERLEADING IN HIGH SCHOOL. THIS WAS A MEANS TO PAY FOR IT ALL.

THERE ARE MANY FOOD COMPANIES OUT THERE THAT CATER BUT WITH GUDD EATS CATERING WE TAKE PRIDE IN LISTENING TO THE CLIENTS WANTS AND PLACE THAT ABOVE WHAT THE COST MAY BE WHEN PREPARING FOR EACH EVENT. WE ALSO KEEP IN MIND TO PREPARE THE FOOD IN A WAY AS TO SATISFY THE TASTE BUDS AS WELL AS THE PRESENTATION OF THE FOOD.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
ALL STAFF IS FOOD SAFETY TRAINED AND WE WEAR GLOVES, MASKS, AND HEADGEAR FOR HAIR. WE ALSO WASH HANDS AND KEEP EVERYTHING WIPED DOWN AND SANITARY BEFORE AND AFTER EACH EVENT. ONLY MY SERVERS ARE ALLOWED TO BE AROUND FOOD PREP AND SERVING OF FOODS.
