What do you love most about your job?
Watching adult students learn and grow - something we are taught that we don't do after college our outside our field of work! I love helping students develop confidence and proficiency in Spanish, which I find to be a beautiful language with so much to offer.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have many entrepreneurs in my family and it has always been my dream to follow in their footsteps. When I was younger people would ask what I wanted to do when I grew up and I said "Spanish", and they would say, "that's not a profession!". From then forward I made it my mission to be my own boss utilizing my Spanish and here I am with 7 years in business!
Why should our clients choose you?
The relationship with a tutor is a big decision. There is a lot of money and time involved, as well as vulnerability as you learn something new and make mistakes. I am happy to say that building relationships is one of my strengths and I aim to make students feel comfortable and excited when they come to class.
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
Yes, about 80% of my classes are taught online to students around the country. I find this to be a great and affordable way to teach Spanish. The student only needs to download Zoom, have a strong internet connection and an email address where assignments and Zoom invites can be sent.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I teach mostly online and when teaching in person I wear a mask and wash my hands.
