I am a counselor and board certified interfaith chaplain specializing in grief, loss and transition. Many of the individuals I work with have been shaken or shattered by loss. The focus of my work is to help them develop stronger coping tools, and find the steadiness, patience and resourcefulness needed to reshape and transform their loss.

While some still prefer in-person sessions, online meetings have offered essential support with the benefits of increased flexibility, efficiency, and reach.
And like in-person sessions, we can customize your online counseling to what you need and how long you need it.
For online meetings, I use Zoom for Telehealth, a HIPAA-compliant application – this means it is a secure and confidential connection.
If you’re not familiar with HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act), a simple one-page description is here: https://www.stjude.org/content/dam/en_US/shared/www/patient-support/family-centered-care/fcc-hipaa-basics.pdf
I have signed a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with Zoom. This agreement allows me to send you a link before our first meeting, and you can use this same link for all future sessions. This process reduces the confusion of changing links for every session.
Clients indicate that online sessions are refreshingly easy, provide solid connectivity, and have minimal technical challenges in getting connected.
In some situations, I have worked with clients who are not well-versed in the mechanics of online technology, and they feel very comfortable using Zoom.
In a few instances, clients have chosen to receive support through the phone. Know that meeting in a place of your choosing – your home, your car, or outside – can be liberating.
