Ripley is our sweet 8 month old baby girl who has a lot of energy! We were having a hard time getting her excitement under control, she jumps on anyone she meets, pull us on walks and does not listening to commands. With only one lesson so far in the 3 lessons she has set up, Ripley has already learned to walk by my side without pulling, knows the command "place" and does not get up till we invite her to come to us. The amount of jumping on visitors has been cut in half and she calms down 10 times faster after they come through the door. Along with a few other things we were taught Ripley's progress is getting better and better!! And this is only 3 days after her first lesson!!! All thanks to the great training, advice and knowledge of Annie Bailey!! We are so thankful for what she has taught us so far and cant wait to learn more in the up coming lessons!! More...

Just finished a GREAT session of training with Kris Morin and our sweetie, Cooper, for more training. He has always been easily aroused especially on-leash and always walked ahead of us regardless of our cueing attempts. One session with Kris, and he's a different dog to walk!!!
She gave us exercises that we can easily do on our own too, to continue his training and phases to progress to so that we can eventually take him off-leash at the lake on an e-collar....our biggest goal!! What a treat to be excited again to walk our sweet 60# boy without feeling like he will turn into the Tasmanian devil when he sees other dogs, cats etc! And, I can't wait to work on his front door etiquette...no more rushing to the door to scare the pants off anyone that rings or knocks! Kris...ur a life saver for dogs and their families!

She is helping me get a handle on 2 of my dogs that refuse to get along and have had numerous fights. If you are honest about the areas that need improvement in your dog(s) and yourself I highly recommend Kris. She will give you the tools and show you how, it is up to you to follow through. More...

So happy that Kris helped me and our dog, Bodi learn how to use the e-collar! She gave me the knowledge, tips and tricks to make it easier for both me and my dog. I now LOVE walking with Bodi off leash, knowing that I have a tool to gently remind her when to return to me or when to not eat rabbit poop ;) Kris also gave me some great tips to help us with Bodi around the house, which I greatly appreciated! :) More...

When I decided my young boys and I were ready for a dog I knew it would be a wonderful yet challenging experience. Finding Grateful K9 to help guide us on our adventure has been a blessing. Young puppyhood had its challenging but now young doggie hood has a new set of challenges. As a dog lover myself it was very important to me to train Roxy correctly from the beginning, yet as a busy full time mom and elementary school teacher I found myself not having the time or even the knowledge to train Roxy in a manner that was best for her. My investment into Roxy getting Grateful K9's Jump Start Puppy Training has already proven to be worth every cent. Roxy got 8 days of wonderful training, socializing, love and praise from Kris. Even Kris's personal dogs enjoy supporting and coaching the "newbies" that Kris brings home for training. Thank you Kris for your professional, supportive, client caring approach. Roxy came home a happy dog with a healthy foundation for me to build upon while we continue to practice and continue her training. Thank you Grateful K9! Thank you Kris. I am looking forward to our next consulting session as well as continuing Roxy's training with Grateful K9's services. More...

Kris is awesome!! She helped us many years ago when we adopted our young lab mix Lucy who spent a lot of time barking, chewing, and destroying things. Kris was able to train me and I was able to train the dog. More recently, we adopted another dog who shows an intense interest in and focus on our cat. She doesn't want to chase the cat, but is unnervingly focused on the cat. I contacted Kris and she quickly responded with advice on how to handle the situation. She is my go to for dog behavior and training issues. More...

Kris is fantastic! We hired her for an in-house session with our two French bulldogs and Rhodesian mix. While it is obvious that she knows her stuff when it comes to dog training, the part we appreciated was the love that comes out for the dog. We are a very busy family and don't have the time to to do every day training. What we were looking for was to make our lives more manageable, i.e., be able to walk our dogs without pulling, less barking, and some tactics to manage day-to-day routines without chaos. Even the one session made a huge difference in our day-to-day lives. Not only that, but whenever I have a question related to training or behavior, I can text Kris and she always answers and helps me out. The training doesn't stop with the one session you pay for. She is absolutely amazing! More...

Our 14 month Aussie has major anxiety problems. I didn't know how to help him and I realized one day that this pet was not joyful to be around. Kris came and showed us how to use place to help our dog. This simple thing has changed our lives with this dog. He always greeted people at the door with barking and growling. He would charge strangers and basically go nuts. This technique of placing him on his bed and making him stay there has reduced all of the difficulties we were having. The bed has become his safe place and he calms down. It also helps him know he has his place and I have my place. He no longer lays on me and follows me everywhere. He knows his place and my place are not the same. Kris has encouraged me through this process and I thank her because I have joy now when I am with my dog. More...

So Glad I found Kris and Grateful K9 Training. I had already trained Jack and he was great 90% of the time. BUT he has a big prey drive. We live where there are a lot of critters to chase. I talked with a couple of other trainers who told me that you cannot train your dog to stop chasing, it is what they do. I love my dogs and want them to be able to go out without a leash and feel that they will be safe. When I first contacted Kris, before we even set up an appointment, we talked about my dogs' issues. She helped me to understand e-collar technology and how it could help. I was nervous at first, but she guided me through exactly what to do. Because of Kris, I feel my dogs are safe and happy. Now,most of the time, I can call both dogs off a chase without using the e-collar. Last night was the topper. It was getting dark and we were on our property. I was walking both dogs and they saw a deer. My one dog Benny came after my first recall, but Jack was in primal mode. With the e-collar he came running back to me! Before he would have chased that deer until he tired out. I am so relieved and happy to know that my dogs will be safe and can have fun. Thank you so much Kris! You have changed our lives. More...

Kris is by far the best dog trainer I've met. She helped me get my puppy crate trained. He used to yelp so much that he would throw up in his crate. Now when I tell him "crate", he goes right in there and doesn't make a peep when I leave. She doesn't just do it herself, she takes the time to teach you how to train your dog to do what you need them to do. She spent a lot of time with us and now I have the tools to keep it up. I would highly recommend her and will use her again when I am ready for more advanced training for my dog.
Call her! She's amazing

I can't say enough wonderful things about Chris. She is truly there for you until the end. She is a caring trainer and person. When she came out to our house she was wonderful and took her time with us and Ginger. Extremely knowledgeable with the best things to try for your dog. We took on my grandfathers boxer Ginger after he passed and Chris has helped us the whole way and even with making to right choice for Ginger at the end.
Chris will be our first call if we choose to fill our home with a dog again.

My favorite thing about Kris is her genuine and kind approach to dog training. She takes care of client dogs like they are her own and spends a lot of time investing back into others.

Her relationship with other trainers, including myself, is inspiring. It speaks volumes to me that Kris is both willing to reach out and also willing to provide feedback at moments notice. I never have to question what kind of woman she is.

Thank you for being such an influential person to the dog industry and community!

I'm so happy we discovered Kris!! Our 8 month old puppy was doing well with basic commands but we were still having trouble at home with barking, jumping, and whining. After only one visit, Kris was able to assess our situation and determine the best training method for our family. By implementing her suggestions, we saw dramatic changes; and this was after only one day of training!! The barking, jumping, and whining all subsided. We now have a dog that listens better and understands that "no" means "no". I highly recommend Kris and will not hesitate to contact her again for our dog training needs. Thank you Kris!!! More...

Kris is PHENOMENAL! I heard about her from my neighbor and contacted her right away. She is very busy but called me back immediately and had a cancellation really soon after and fit us in! She helped train my mini aussie who is 11 months old and has dealt with bad anxiety and car sickness, barking, not listening, and defiance. I didn’t know how to better him in these things and because of what she taught him AND US he is doing so much better! Her tactics and teaching is practical and easy. She gives lots of tools for after the training and follows up to see how dog is doing. I will always recommend her! Thank you Kris! More...

Fast forward 5 months and Stella (now 9 months) is an off leash, e-collar trained, water loving, completely trusted pup! I couldn’t be more thankful for Kris… she is literally THE dog whisperer!! Cannot say enough about how happy we are that we found Kris at Grateful K9 Training. My husband and I have never owned a dog before and had spoken to a couple different trainers before we connected with Kris. Not only was she wonderful with our puppy, but she educated us on how we can successfully implement what we were doing at home. We have used Kris for both private appointments as well as board and train and after working with her for several months, there really is nobody else we would leave our puppy with. Kris's passion for what she does is absolutely contagious and we went from being slightly overwhelmed bringing home an 8 week old puppy to having confidence in our training and a super fun pup at home. She will be there with advice and support always and our family is truly grateful More...

Our entire family is so grateful for Kris and Grateful K9 Training! We adopted our Roxy girl at just over a year old, and she is full of energy and life, which translates into many challenges adjusting to our home for her and for us. Super sweet puppy, but she was jumping on everyone that comes into the house or up to her , chasing the cats both inside and outside, pulling on the leash at all times until she choked , bolting out the door and running down the street as fast as she could. Did I mention the continuous barking? That was before our first appt with Kris, who is so connected to dogs it is magical and amazing! When she left our home after 4 hours, we were in awe. Roxy was walking proudly around the neighborhood , right next to us without pulling on the leash. She would do the same with me, my wife Niki, and both of our kids, happy as could be. With the structure Kris helped us put in place , and an understanding of the Why and How of Roxy's actions and choices , we were now better equipped to be a dog family . It is actually astounding to see how differently our puppy is now that she knows what we are asking of her, we know how to ask for things correctly, to reaffirm that each day, and it has only built the trust she has in us , and us in her. She loves to be a part of everything we are doing, and with Kris opening the communication between us and Roxy, it has allowed us to do so much together. All this progress just by being consistent with the training Kris gave us. One more visit to work on the excited jumping when I come home , some long line work and outside barking, and the introduction/ training of the E-collar has taken it to a new level! I never would have imagined that some light taps from an E-collar ( I have tried it on at different levels and it is merely a small reminder to pay attention, I can barely feel it at her usual levels of correction) . We now spend hours outside with Roxy off leash playing and hanging out, she waits for us at doors, doesn't chase the cats taunting her around the neighborhood, she will go to and hold place whenever I ask, or often on her own, she cruises with me to Starbucks, and many other stores where daily people tell me how well behaved she is and they wish their dog would do this or that! I usually smile, thank them, and then give them information to in my opinion, the best dog/people trainer on the planet, Kris at Grateful K9 training! I could literally go on and on. Thank you Kris, for taking a couple of freaked out new dog owners and a wonderful rambunctious young dog, and turning it into the experience of a lifetime by building a strong and loving bond between our whole family and our sweet Roxy Girl . We are truly indebted to you. More...

Kris came to my house to help me with my new rescue mix pup named Stella. She helped a tremendous amount with Stella's behavior towards my other dog , recalls, and every other issue I had questions about. Kris has such a tremendous amount of exceptional knowledge that definitely helped me understand Stella and what would be the best approach to solving all our issues. After one visit from Kris, I was able to work with Stella and my other dog Margie and reach all of our goals. I can't recommend her enough! More...

Kris is a great dog trainer! We have a German Shepherd, Freya. I was scared to walk Freya as she demonstrated reactivity to other dogs, cars, cyclists, pretty much to anything that moved. We contacted Kris for help. In one three hour session, I learned many techniques on how to remain in control, reduce my anxiety when walking outside, and ways to reduce Freya’s reactivity. Since working with Kris, I have been able to walk Freya by myself.
Kris is honest and a great teacher. She is very professional. I cannot express in words how lucky and grateful we are to be working with Kris.

I hired Kris for one session so far and I can not believe the difference in my dogs manners and behavior. I have a nine month old Doberdane who is becoming very large very quickly. I felt that I couldn’t safely walk him on a leash anymore if a person or a dog or a biker came by. I had a pinch collar on him which helped but I truly needed him to understand what I was asking of him. Kris has not only helped me understand why my dog acts the way he does but has helped my dog understand what I am asking of him. I can take him anywhere now with confidence that he is not going to pull me over. He has a much better relationship with our cat these days and does not steal things off of my counter anymore. I can put him in a sit and walk away from him out in the open off leash and he stays until I command him to release. I highly recommend Kris even if it’s only for one session!!! You won’t regret it!! She’s a dog whisperer for sure!! More...
