Im shocked to see so many negative reviews! My boyfriend and I have visited several locations and have Always Loved the pie and food! Grand Traverse Pie Company was part of my childhood and his for sure! He would always go up north to Traverse city & a stop at this company's pie shop was a must! We also have been to this location several times and we love the food and pie. The owners are very very nice we had the opportunity to meet them at MSU recently as they did a live q&a had free pie and told us all about the companyWe have always had a great visit. They have a great menu with plenty of food options other than pie. The quiche is really good, the goat cheese wrap & salad are too! My favorite is the beef or chicken pot pie, they are both excellent! They also have a huge selection of pie & baked goods. You can purchase pie crusts & tops to make your own pie that come in a baking dish for a great price. The quality is much better than the roll out type from the grocery store. More...

This is not just any cafe, its is a WiFi cafe. This place is nothing more than a dainty Panera. The prices were nothing to be shocked about, pretty reasonable. I had a hankering for blueberry pie so I ordered a slice. It was unpleasant to see my slice of pie come off a pie that looked like it had been sitting out all day. To heat up my pie they nuked it in the microwave. I thought this piece of pie was ruined but my goodness was I wrong. It exceeded all of my expectations. Talk about melt in your mouth. I just love the atmosphere, the staff, and the menu variety. The Tomato Bisque soup is out of this world. Our group Thursday Night Yarn In goes to the one in the Brookfield Plaza in East Lansing every Thursday. The staff is so kind and accommodating. We love their pie milkshakes so much. I always love this location. It's not the fanciest or biggest. It is in Traverse City but not the original location. This location just always has good energy. It's located in a strip mall, just outside the core of downtown. You order your food or pie and pay there. Then when it's ready they call your name to come get it.I ordered the Cherrywood BLT sandwich and a pumpkin muffin. Both were very good and very fresh. Their was plenty of well cooked bacon on my BLT. The person I was with had the breakfast sandwich and also thought it was very good.The service was excellent and very efficient while being very friendly.Overall a 5 star review. Would I return? As someone with gluten issues, finding a restaurant to eat at is usually a challenge, and more-so, finding a dessert I can eat. GT Pie does an amazing job with their GF pies...by far the best I have tried! They are worth every penny! Not only are the pies great, but the face that they have GF bread available in their shop, and can make most lunch sandwiches to be GF makes it a no-brainer when choosing a location for meetings, etc. More...

A must visit staple. Decided on this location over the one closer to downtown due to parking being better. Had a very nice lunch, cherry chicken salad is amazing, others in my group had pot pie, BLT, mac and cheese and egg salad sandwich. All great. From Chicago and initially it reminded me of Panera. Order at the counter, pick up order from the end of the counter line. Food was tasty. My husband LOVES pot pie and he said the chicken one was very good. My daughter ate most of it so I'd say it was tasty. I had the Mediterranean wrap with chicken. Also tasty.
