What’s your interior design process?
For us at Grain Control, it is all about the balance between form and function. We believe that great design integrates both. One need not be sacrificed in order to achieve the other. All objects should be able to be highly functional and beautiful at the same time.

What do you love most about your job?
There is no greater satisfaction for us than the joy that our creations bring to our clients. It is a wonderful feeling to provide our clients with projects that are both beautiful and highly functional that they can enjoy for the rest of their lives.
What inspired you to start your own business?
After working in the woodworking industry for 11 years doing set construction, retail displays and fixtures, convention fabrication, and high-end commercial and residential cabinetry, I felt like I had the necessary experience to start my own company. That's when Grain Control was formed. I was finally able to give my clients my own visions of design while providing the highest level of customer service and craftsmanship.
Why should our clients choose you?
The process of designing and commissioning custom furniture can be a bit of an overwhelming process. We try to streamline the process to make it as simple as possible for you to make your ultimate decision. We start by reviewing all relevant details of the project with you (dimensions, functional needs, style and material preferences). Next, we create a 3D computer rendering of the project (we can build out the room it will live in too if this is helpful) and send you images from multiple angles so that you can tell exactly what it will look like. If edits need to be made, we are happy to make those at this time. If necessary, we will provide samples as well to help you decide on the type of wood, stain, or finish that you like best. Lastly, once all of these details have been finalized, we put together a price estimate for the project. If the price is out of range, we are happy to simplify or modify the design in order to meet your budget.
