Shawn is worth every penny as a trainer. His workouts are intense and customized to your abilities. I worked out with him this past summer which helped to start my weight loss process. I'm down 17 lbs in 3 months and a ton of credit is owed to him. Thank you Shawn! More...

I have been training with Shawn for a few months. I feel stronger and healthier (he not only creates exercise routines but also provides suggested meals). In addition to understanding my fitness goals, he's thoughtful about modifying exercises to account for my back injury.As I travel frequently for work, he's been quite flexible with scheduling and sends me exercises I can do on my own so I don't fall off track. I'm in my early 40s and recovering from microdiscectomy as a result of a herniated disc and foot drop. A very active lifestyle was taken away from me; put on some weight, lost strength and stamina, and confidence took a blow. I hesitated for a long time to hire a trainer because I was pessimistic that I'd find someone with the patience and empathy to understand my situation and explain how and why we'll workout the way we do. I scheduled an initial consultation which lasted a bit more than an hour. I asked a ton of questions and got quality answers, then did a a fitness evaluation. I decided to initially work with him 2x a week but after the first week, my fiancée got jealous, and Shawn was able to manage dual sessions with us while still providing quality attention. Oh, and he comes to the gym in our building to train us!Me- early 40s, avid soccer player and half marathoner pre surgery. She- mid 30s, very experienced yogiWhile we have different profiles and strengths/weaknesses, we had a common goal- improve *functional* fitness to make everyday movement more efficient, mechanically correct, and less injury prone. My primary goal is not the most jacked arms, fastest marathon, or most powerful squat, but rather be functionally fit to live a happy life. Tj be able to run a 10K instead of a half, to get back to soccer and tennis, and to be able to everyday things like playing with kids. He understood all of that and catered our workouts as such. The weight will drop, the times will get faster, and the fit physique will come back.If you want to work with someone who takes the time to listen, focused laser sharp on proper form, and manages you as a client rather than a workout session... then Shawn is your guy.  I consider him part of my healthcare team, and often compare notes between him and my other specialists. Shawn is an exceptional trainer. I have noticed an overall difference in my body, and his attention to detail is top-notch -- including making sure that I'm not injured during workout, that we're always trying new and different ways to be effective with our time together without routines getting stale, and that he's helping support my workouts with diet and nutrition advice when I need it. Best of all, Shawn has helped me get over the back and hip flexor injuries I was dealing with before working with him... in a surprisingly short amount of time, they feel as strong as ever! Shawn is awesome. After 8 sessions I've noticeably gotten stronger (I can do way more pushups than before, for example) and my endurance has increased (less fatigue on my long runs). His workouts are challenging and effective which keeps it interesting each session and made me more motivated to exercise. I also highly recommend his boot camps as they are killer! More...

I stopped working out for years after rupturing my Achilles' tendon. I lost my desire to exercise and regardless of how many times I rejoined the gym, I had no motivation to workout. I made my mind up to spend my hard earned money on a personal trainer. I found Shawn from Gladiator and now I'm back on the grind. Shawn is super knowledgeable and very professional. My colleague and I have trained with Shawn weekly for several months now - the experience couldn't have been better! He is professional,fun to work with, and is very flexible and accommodating with busy schedules. He provided a health analysis, discussed our goals, and formulated a workout regiment that was suitable for us to reach our goals. He also provided guidance on eating and workouts for when we're traveling and have to skip our weekly session. I'm really looking forward to joining the boot camp in the coming weeks. I was looking for a personal trainer who could help me build strength without aggravating a herniated disc in my back. I was looking for a personal trainer for some time before I came across Gladiator Strong Fitness. After my initial consultation, I felt that Shawn would be a good fit for me because he wanted to focus on my goals while also strengthening my weaknesses. Every workout is different and challenging and although some days I don't feel like it, I feel great afterwards. He is very flexible with my crazy schedule and that has been a tremendous relief. I l've been working out with him for over 6 months now and I've dropped weight and more importantly inches! Gladiator Strong Fitness helped build my confidence and take my body to the next level. Shawn knows what he's doing and is a GREAT and knowledgeable trainer. He met me where I was and each time we trained, I got stronger and built more endurance... I honestly couldn't do a push up or squat properly before training with Shawn. He is extremely professional and always willing to be flexible. Even though getting in shape is serious business (took me while to get serious about it), Shawn was always patient and uplifting. He provided me with detailed meal plans and motivational support via text when I was tempted to eat all the cookies and cakes and pies and ice cream and wine and chocolate and candy, and everything else that wasn't nailed down.
