Vanessa is the best! She took the most amazing photos of our family! She was so patient and friendly throughout our entire session. We had a 9 year old, 8 month old, and grumpy 5 year old but Vanessa still managed to capture beautiful photos of each of our girls and family. She took a number of both posed and candid photos. I can't speak highly enough of Vanessa. I've worked with her for personal and professional engagements. She shot both my engagement session and wedding day, and the photographs are absolutely stunning. Vanessa is a truly wonderful person, and her photography is just as exceptional. We recently had an engagement session with her, and felt comfortable in front of the camera (which can be hard for both my fiancé and myself). Vanessa did an incredible job with our engagement photos! The pictures are stunning, and she was so natural and warm during the shoot that we both felt comfortable - even my Fiance who is not the biggest fan of photos! Vanessa was quick to respond leading up to the shoot, which I appreciated since we live in Denver and relied on calls and emails to set up the shoot. She was also very flexible when we had to change the date due to weather, on time, professional, and even met us at a lake outside of Durango that we had found the day before. She was able to capture our love for each other as well as the beautiful nature around us, which is exactly what I wanted. We asked Vanessa to photograph our wedding for two main reasons. Firstly, we love how she preserves the natural light in her photographs to reflect the happy and radiant mood of a couple on their wedding day. Secondly, we were impressed by Vanessa’s level of professionalism. From our very first meeting through to our wedding day, she was always well prepared. Vanessa was unobtrusive, yet commanding when it came time for organized family and couple photos. She was never rushed, even on a tight schedule, which is exactly the kind of level-headedness we needed on our wedding day. With one photographer and 100 guests, we still got all the photos we wanted!

Vanessa went out of her way to create special memories for us. She waited at Smelter Rapid the morning of our wedding to capture photos of our guests and us as we rafted the river together. She attended our wedding rehearsal to better visualize the venue and develop a plan with our officiant for photographing the ceremony. Vanessa is amazing and wonderful to work with, friendly and easy to talk with. Communication and planning was thorough and well planned. We had several Facetime conversations with her which allow us to all get to know each other and for her to hear our story. We were planning a wedding in Colorado from San Diego and she was very patient and encouraging throughout the whole process. During the wedding day she was everywhere as if she was two people. She was well prepared and adaptable to all the normal and some very unexpected things that happened on our day. As a photographer myself i really liked her style and enjoyed seeing her work. We hired Vanessa to shoot our rehearsal dinner & wedding in Durango. Since we were coming from 12 hours away, we thought it would be important to have a local photographer to document our big day. Hiring her ended up being the best decision we made during the entire planning process. She was an absolute professional and did an amazing job of helping us through the stress of a wedding weekend.

When we got or prints back, they were delivered in a very neat and professional way and very promptly. And the shots were all amazing! I honestly could not ask for more, the experience from start to finish was everything you could hope for when hiring a professional photographer.
