Drinks were small and pricey, but worth every penny! Our server, Hunter, was very friendly. She made our experience very enjoyable! We will be returning. More...

This place definitely knows how to make delicious Margarita's and mojito's. I love the Hibiscus flower margarita & the avocado one - those are definitely my two favorites. My hubby loves the mojito they make. I always gravitate towards their special ceviche of the month. They always switch it up and it never disappoints. In the winter they seriously have the best poblano soup I've ever had anywhere. I sometimes order this soup just to go when I'm on a lunch break. If you haven't been here it's definitely worth a visit. They do have a patio in the summer time that is nice for lounging with a friend over a refreshing cocktail with of course some yummy chips & guacamole! *Definitely take advantage of the coat rack to hang your coat to free up room when sitting! I don't know where to start with this place except to say that it's awesome. Maybe the best tacos we have had since leaving Florida and we got some good taco spots in Florida. It is a little expensive but everything from the guacamole, to the tacos, to the cocktails were excellent. It's 45 min from our house and we don't hesitate to go if we want high quality tacos. As a longtime Bien Trucha regular reading the reviews i feel a need to clarify a few misconceptions and critiques of the restaurant. * First and Foremost, ALL THE TABLES ARE THE SAME SIZE they are usually plated for 2 as that is the most common size group eating, a single table can be sat for up to 4 people, any parties over 4 will get an extra table to accommodate the extra people. So before you ask, there isn't a bigger table to give you* Second, the restaurant is designed around the idea of COMMUNITY, the tables and overall small layout of the restaurant is by no means a money making ploy, but rather a way to promote the idea of community dining, and sharing an experience with those around you. * Third, everything is meant to be shared (there's a trend here), it will make your dining experience vastly better if you participate in this, don't view your order as YOUR order,  sharing an order of tacos with those who you are eating with will allow you to try a little bit of everything, and as everything is made to order certain items will come out faster than others, and sharing won't leave anyone taco-less waiting for their order to arrive. Lastly I'd just like to add, come with an open mind, this isn't the most traditional restaurant and obviously there are some quirks and aspects that might seem odd, but the food is outstanding and you will be hard pressed to find better service elsewhere. Flautas de pollo folks!!!!!! My mouth is literally watering just thinking about them! We started off with chips and a bean dip which is different but delicious - I am use to getting salsa and chips as a starter but I love the bean dip. Next we got the salsa trio and the green salsa was my fav! The orange middle one was verrry spicy and the other one has a Smokey flavor to it. Very cute place but it was a little too dark inside that we couldn't even read the menu. Very cozy feels though. I would come back just to get the flautas de pollo ! More...

Everyone i know talks about how amazing this place is so i was in the area and decided to give it a go. We came around 9 PM, it was steady but we got seated by the sweet hostess immediately. It was VERY poorly lighting in there, so much so that i couldn't even read the menu without using my phone flashlight. We were greeted by our server Antonio with fresh homage chips that are gluten free along with some warm bean dip. It was a lovely combo. Next we ordered the salsa sampler, came with three salsas and more gf chips. We liked two of the three salsas. The orange one in the middle is spicy spicy spicy! So if your not into extreme spice, stay clear. The food and everything comes out within minutes of ordering it which is really nice. My entree was skirt steak tacos with verde salsa and pickled onions, simple and so much flavor! Loved every bite ! The ambience was cute, cozy small tables, staff was nice. They ask you before your seated if you have any food allergies so they can accommodate you accordingly. They do not have any vegan options, but have quite a few gluten free ones available on the menu. The drink menu looked incredible! Probably wouldn't recommend this place for a large group, and definitely call ahead for reservations on the weekends. More...

My wife LOVES this place. I think the food is really good but I am not a fan of the seating. Tables are spaced extremely close to one another and it feels very crowded. The food makes up for the seating and you can always sit at the outside bar to eat. Our very dish is the Bien Trucha Tacos, Elote, Piscado Tacos and we usually get the guacamole of the day. Let me preface this with saying that I love this place--however, I will never give it five stars. The food and drinks are phenomenal. I've been there twice, and I have not been disappointed. The first time we got the bien trucha and pescado tacos...delicious! Yesterday, we started with the guacamole trio. The special guac had apples. It was creative and delectable! As a main course, we got the pescado and quiubo tacos with esquites. Pescado is by far my favorite, but I recommend any of those! The esquites were good, and it is a decent portion size. As far as drinks, I have gotten the sangria each time--it is very yummy! We even treated ourselves to the churro as dessert. It has a little tequila in it which is different, but it is very rich in taste! Now... as to why I will never give it five stars. The location is terrible. I totally understand that this a business, and the goal is to make money by serving as many people, but...I hate how they sit 4 people at a 2-person setting. The WORST part about this place is that you feel like you are sitting on top of the other parties next to you. So much so, that I could only eat with my left hand. If you are eating here, I highly suggest having a small party or else it will not be as enjoyable. I also recommending going on a weekday if you are claustrophobic. Overall, great food--I would rate it a five. But if I am paying over 120 dollars each time I dine here, I expect a great OVERALL experience as well. More...

Crown Jewel of the tri-cities imho.  Cocktails are on point, elotes on point,  bien trucha and swordfish tacos are staples for a reason.  Get some guacamole and bring some interesting friends.  Discover yourself,  don't be afraid to double fist drinks despite the posh setting, it's dark and hence hard to judge people;).  Don't speak Spanish to wait staff if your not fluent,  you just seem douchey,  also many are not Hispanic so it would just be weird. Had a recommendation for good Mexican, and while it's not usually my first choice, this was delicious. Went with friends for lunch and we shared a bunch of items.     Two types of tacos; the carne asada and the shrimp diablo. Both were great. The chicken flautas were a bit overloaded for me, but good flavor. The elotes/corn had a bit too much mayo for my taste, but overall good as well. The potatoes were a hit; a little heat and great sauce. Drinks were also super-delish.     Highly recommend the food and drinks. More...

We chose this place for a get together looking at the reviews on Yelp. When we arrived we were a little disappointed that they wouldn't replace the meat in their tacos - since most of us were vegetarian. We still went ahead and started ordering. We liked the appetizers we had almost everything vegetarian and sea food. But as the tacos arrived we just got blown away by the flavor. Each one of them was amazing. Flavorful and fresh we just couldn't help adding to our first order. Best of them was the tuna taco of the day. If you are craving tacos then this is the place to go. More...

Such an amazing spot with a great vibe ! We've tried just about every taco on Bien Trucha's menu, along with all three different types of queso -everything tastes incredible! It's hard to pick a favorite dish, but I think the shrimp queso is a must have! The tacos may seem small, but they will definitely sneak up on you because they are packed with meat! Come here with the idea of ordering a ton of tacos for everyone to share. Not everything comes out at once, so this is the best way to do it - plus it allows you to try more than one thing! The only downfall is you NEED to make a reservation a few weeks in advance if you're looking for a weekend dinner. Because it's so good, they book up quick! More...

This week I ventured to Bien Trucha with my mom and husband to celebrate turning 30! Yippee! Yahoooo! I've been to Quibo and wanted to check out Bien Trucha, the OG. The menu is nearly identical to Quibo, with some subtle differences, like no octopus tacos. This girl rarely ventures away from chicken so made no difference to me. ;-) Having experienced the trio appetizer at Quibo, this was a MUST. All our food was incredible! So, let me comment on the reasons for my 4 stars and what makes this place so unique. First, if it didn't rain we certainly would have sat outside which has ample space compared to the interior. Inside is great, don't get me wrong, but as other reviews have noted it is very cramped and loud when it's packed. Which apparently it is all the time. The three of us were sat at a two person table. We made it work, but it was cramped. And it was very difficult to have a conversation because of how loud it was. We made it work, but it killed the ambience. The other reason I knocked off a star? You know literally ANY restaurant you go to on your birthday either sings, throws in a free drink or dessert, right? Well, don't expect that from Bien Trucha. I got a candle in my $9 dessert. As a parent might say, "I'm just very disappointed."Will I return? Eh, I think I prefer the size and ambience of Quibo. I don't think I'll return for my birthday either. The food is killer, and I love the tequila menu... both of those will have me coming back. But the prices are steep, so this isn't an every weekend affair either. More...

Excellent service!! From the hostess to the server and even the busser. Everyone was friendly and personable. Other restaurants should take note because Bien Trucha does it right. Now ambiance- I can't say much about the inside but the outdoor area was lovely- although we went on a rather hot day. It gave us an excuse to have mango frozen margaritas! The tacos were very good but sides must be ordered separately.  My boyfriend wanted beans and rice despite having a big bowl of them with our chips already. I'm glad he ordered the sides because the rice- Arroz Poblano was really good. My only complaint is that they serve the tortilla chips with beans. We would have preferred salsa. I think there was the option to purchase salsa as a side- that's kind of ridiculous. It is expensive in general but I knew that ahead of time. Otherwise, we had a great time here and would come back.
