As a fairly new resident to Charlotte, I'm glad I was able to find and now have Dr. Alston as my new Black dentist. Her office is lovely, squeaky clean, and very easy to find. She is very warming and thorough along with her staff. I can't say that I ever had a hygienist as gentle and laid back as Clarissa. I was able to multi-task "work from home" on my laptop, have a conversation, and get treatment all on my first visit. Everything was given to me in detail about what I had going on and they really focused on what was my main priority. Unlike other dentists I've been to in the past that just wanted go to work and have me spend. I'm not a fan of the dentist either. Especially after being fresh out of braces for 8-months. I was going to Dr. Alston when she was at Dentalworks  on Eastway, when she was at the one in Matthews and the other office in Matthews.  She is very thorough with her examination and explanation of what is happening with your mouth. The hygienist I had today, Clarissa is thorough and professional as well! Although I no longer live in the area, the level of service she provides is unmatched and I absolutely don't mind driving 2 hours for my appointment.  The front desk ladies Tiffany and Alexis are genuinely friendly and professional and definitely help knock the edginess of a dental appointment off. They take the time to thoroughly explain the insurance and follow up the explanation of the treatment plan you may recieve. I appreciate the professionalism of this office and highly recommend going here for your dental needs.  They even have a plan for anyone who may not have insurance.  What's better than that? More...

Dr. Alston and the entire staff here have a phenomenal attitude. Even though she is usually busy, Dr. Alston never feels like she's rushing me when she is explaining something or I have questions/concerns. She and her staff are transparent, friendly, and welcoming. Highly recommend. More...
