Was passing through and called ahead for takeout. We ordered the fish sliders and a burger. Initially I thought they were both a little expensive but once I got the food, I understood the pricing better. The food was great! The fish pieces were big! Big enough for a regular sandwich. And it came with a lot of fries too. The portions were great, flavors and everything tasty. I wish they didn't use those big terrible plastic containers but that's my only complaint. More...

After reading the few bad reviews on here, I just have to comment! This place is an awesome, friendly, local place with very good food! Forget about the guy who supposedly has been going there for 15 years and always loved the place, then writes a review with 1 star for an overcooked plate of squid! Accidents sometimes happen, and I've never seen the staff have a problem returning something to the kitchen to fix it or taking it off the bill (providing some cheapskate didn't eat most of it already!) Dismiss the knucklehead from Pennsylvania that thinks the place has an identity crisis and thinks it's a pizzeria because there's a bar pizza available! What does some jackwagon from rural Pennsylvania know about pizza anyway? That bar pie is probably twice as good as anything available in his town! Don't even get me started about the lady who's kid didn't like his fish sticks! She probably gave a scathing, one star review of the last place she took him and he didn't want to finish his chicken nuggets! Gators may not be the finest restaurant in NY, but the steaks, seafood, and specials are top notch, the burgers are among the best I've had, and even the crappy bar pizza is actually pretty good (way batter than Pennsylvania gas station pizza)! I have been coming to Gators for years now and have never been disappointed, the food and service is always great. Tonight I discovered my new favorite dish, the ahi tuna wonton nachos. They were a surprising twist on the classic nachos, served with wonton chips, great sauce, fresh tuna, topped with microgreens. Heather was our server and she was great! I came to Southampton for the first time over July 4th weekend and my friend recommended this restaurant. It was absolutely amazing! Staff was super friendly and the food was delicious. My Wife and I have been to Gators several times now. Just looks like a small town bar on the outside, but inside is a beautiful cozy little restaurant with AMAZING food ! We drive over an hour to go there for their amazing Popcorn shrimp and wings. Best we've ever had ! The burgers are awesome and their fried clam strip dinner is HUGE and equally amazing. The service is always , spot on and the waitresses are very friendly. The owner Diane came to our table to make sure we were happy with everything and was also very sweet and friendly. Not too many owners would take the time to do that (and we are by no means regulars there, yet anyway). We can't wait to go back and bring our friends. If your looking for awesome food at a fair price out in the Hamptons you really need to check this place out, you'll be happy that you did ! More...
