Gabby Turner Marketing redesigned my entire YouTube Channel (Header, Profile Picture, and layout) to make it a more personalized and professional for new viewers. Describe your creative process.
I like to talk to my clients, preferably on the phone, and get a rough idea of their story and what they are looking for. Then, I'll lay some rough concepts out either in drawing or in a mockup on my computer. I'll go through sample pictures or ideas similar to what the client is looking for and see what formatting styles work the best. I will try out multiple layouts and then send the client some draft ideas. From there I let them choose which one or elements they like best and work on their final project.
What information do you need from a client before you can start work?
I need to know their timeline and preferences. Clients do sometimes give me creative liberty in creating designs. However, their designs are something that they will live with, so I want to get the personal aspect and preferences so I can best tailor a designs to save them time and money.
What do you love most about your job?
I love the creative aspect of finding the perfect design for my client. I enjoy hearing stories of how and why people started their business so I am able to tailor their story into the designs to help create something unique just for them to help tell a story and convey a message.
What inspired you to start your own business?
In school, my friends would often come to me for their clubs and organizations and say “Hey Gabby, could you help me make this look nicer?” or “Hey Gabby, could you help me design a flyer?” This got me thinking, my friends can’t be the only ones who need help with their designs for their clubs and organizations. So, I wanted to create a business where I could help others reach out and create a message for their ideas, while also being an affordable option. I have been working on digital media marketing and public relations since my freshman year of college and thought, “Why not make my passion my career?” So, I am taking all of my design experience to a new level and helping others build a name for their organizations.
Why should our clients choose you?
Despite big companies who want to charge expensive prices and spit out material. I like connecting with my customers to find something that works for their platforms and tells a story. I only charge for what you like and will specifically work to make custom changes to designs and charge for the one design and not all of the drafts. I like to provide options that allow buyers to have more input in their designs, that I hope will make them choose to come back.
