What do you love most about your job?
I’ve been building and marketing websites since the mid-90s and always get a rush when I take a website that has no presence and then I build it up to be seen by the masses. When you succeed I feel that I succeed as well! I love making my clients happy ?
I’m a life long learner and I read and learn something new every day. SEO fulfills my thirst because Google changes it’s algorithm 500 to 600 times a year. There are not many SEOs like myself that keep up to date with Google Algorithms and Digital Marketing on a daily basis.
I also love to share my knowledge and I’ve trained, mentored, and taught SEO to hundreds of people throughout my career whether it’s one-on-one trainings, lunch and learns, or group/department trainings at various companies. When I know my SEO mentoring helped advance to career for someone that I trained, then I’m extremely happy that I was able to provide the guidance to make them successful.
I have an impressive portfolio showing triple digit organic growth percentages for many websites. I’ve have been featured on TV news stations, Radio (NPR and BBC), various Newspapers, and video testimonials for SEO work for websites that I worked on. I get a thrill when my work is recognized and seen by many.
I also like networking and meeting top SEO people all over the world through conference events or being invited to exclusive SEO innovation meetings held by top SEO platform companies.
I’m also an entrepreneur and with my MBA in Digital Marketing, I love helping other entrepreneurs or businesses owners grow their audience online to gain more leads and sales. Like I mentioned, when you succeed I feel that I have succeed too. I get the biggest kick out of that and it’s in my nature to help others with the knowledge, strong problem solving skills, logic, and skills that God blessed me with.
What inspired you to start your own business?
For many years I’ve worked for corporate and top tech firms making the rich, richer through my SEO and Web Marketing work. I wanted to get away from the corporate grind because when they know they “got a good one” they tend to overwork me to the point where I had no work/life balance so I decided to slow things down. I wanted to work for myself and offer my services to those who truly appreciate my time and efforts. I also wanted to spread my knowledge and write books about SEO and Digital Marketing to teach others and hopefully get some published for use at schools and universities.
