We have come here for several pieces, and have always had a good experience. As a matter of fact, they are now our first go-to when we want a new piece of furniture. They order your piece to your specifications, so expect about a 6-10 week wait. Recently visited for our first time on a weekend and had the pleasure ofworking with Agnes. She took her time, showed all our color options, andanswered all questions. In the end we ended up purchasing a custom dining room table and chairs. Very grateful for Agnes. Witnessed one of her co-workers (I believe a manager) distance himself from customers and not willing to assist a couple who were interested in investing some big $$ on furniture. When the 3 pieces of furniture I ordered were delivered, the 1/4" plywood backing (dust cover) had not been put on, but there was an 1/8" plywood on it. Since I had paid an upcharge for that, I sent them back. Two weeks later I got them back. However, the back of my 2 door cabinet was not put on squarely so it threw the 2 doors off and one was higher than the other by 1/4". Also the plywood back was 2 different colors. Very noticeable. So 6 days later they sent Jim out to fix things. Jim is VERY good, detail oriented, and very knowledgable. Very nice man. He did indeed fix it to my satisfaction. Jim (master carpenter) and Jonathan (salesman at the Babcock Store) were wonderful. They really work hard to make customers satisfied with their purchases. Both are very friendly and professional and the Furniture in the Raw Company should be very grateful they are on staff. I will say this store could really go very far, but quality control and attention to detail is lacking. There were a number of small things that should be done for customers. Blowing out the sawdust on a finished product, attention to detail when building products, inspecting each piece for product quality and on time deliveries are areas that need attention. If these areas and issues are fixed this company could be a rival to other furniture companies like Woodley's in Colorado. If it weren't for Jonathan and Jim, I would probably canceled my order. REVISING REVIEW, thanks to owners for there responding to my review. The sales man did state more than once the night stands were US made by the same company as the dining room manufacturer but I am glad the owner clarified it. The night stands have done awesome. ORIGINAL POST: looked at buying a table and chairs (told the table would come from the carolinas and would take 2 months to arrive), liked what I saw went to home to check measurements. in the mean time I bought some night stands, told by owner the stands came from the same country. got the night stands home to finish and underneath they are stamped made in Vietnam. So I don't believe the owner or the table would come from US. They said it would take so long because of the holidays, I have my doubts now. The night stands are working well and look very nice. Great Deals! Just wanted to tell how happy I am with my new Dinning I bought Last year. Real wood custom finished in the color I wanted! Not the same color that's available in every store in town. Love the Easy storage for the 2 leaves! Came in handy during the holidays. Now I've bought several dining rooms in my life that have fallen apart but this one still looks like the day your great delivery guys brought it to my house. So now I cant wait to get new real wood Books shelves and a Murphy bad for my Guest room. Wow! Our story begins with a table we saw online and had fallen in love with. The problem was that we had no idea where we could find it so we started our search around. After seeing numerous tables, we still kept going back to the table we had seen online. We went as far as showing it to a custom furniture store to replicate it. Finally after one of our late night searches we found that FITR had the table. We initially emailed the owner Harriet but we were concerned about buying it sight unseen and from far away. We decided to "table" the decision for a bit and continue our search as we live in Atlanta and no where close to Texas. After months of going back and forth one evening I took a leap of faith and called FITR. For all those reading this review buying furniture sight unseen isn't usually the norm. But we lucked out and we got a sales associate named Johnathon Burlison, who not only took care of us, he went above and beyond. He sent us pictures from his cellphone for multiple angles and made sure we got to see it better than if we were there. Johnathon The became our eyes and ears and seriously was just amazing at keeping us in the know. With the service, attention to detail and constant updates we took our leap of faith even further and decided to add onto this order 8 dining chairs (which we didn't know existed!!),4 bar stools, 2 benches and a custom coffee table. Last week we received the shipment and let's just saw our jaws dropped. Johnathon had been sending us updates and pictures but the furniture was truly exceptional. Very rarely do you find some one who guides you down the right path and keeps your budget in mind and takes pride not in the sale but in meeting a customer expectation. Jonathon truly took our order and ensured it would be handle as if it was his. He made sure that every piece of furniture was inspected and right before it was sent to us and coordinated with every step along the way. What truly amazed us-after he took our order the contact didn't stop like most places. He didn't rush to get off the phone, or rush for another sale or customer. He genuinely wanted to see how we were and if there was anything else he could do from his end. Thank you Johnathon for doing an amazing job and for truly being a man of your word. Just a like background:  sent an email inquiry on availability of the Canyon Pub table @ 30" vs 36" high.  Jonathan called to let me know they could do the modifications.  I traveled to the closest store on San Pedro.  I approached Ed to show me the table I wanted modified. He checked a catalog and showed me it didn't come in 30". I explained that Jonathan (different location) had contacted me. He told me to "continue my conversation with Jonathan". There was move, but bottom line, I did not appreciate Ed's attitude and will not do business at that location. Today, I went to the Babcock location. Liza assisted me in Jonathan's absence. I went into the Austin store yesterday after weeks of looking for a bench with storage for my kitchen. I came in ready to take pictures and get measurements on anything that might work. Bill saw me with my measuring tape and offered to print off any information I needed to take all the guesswork out. It was wonderful! I came home with a few options to show my husband and then today I was able to use the chat feature on the website to ask if the piece we wanted was in stock. Harriet told me they had one in the warehouse and that they would assemble in 2-3 days time. My husband had already planned to take off at lunch to go pick it up with me, so Harriet called the warehouse to see if they could get is assembled the same day... what's even more impressive? They had it ready and waiting for us at noon! I've never experienced better, more attentive, customer service- anywhere! We will definitely be returning customers. So happy with our new bench! I went looking for bunk beds when I was about a month away from my due date. I needed the bed fast because one of my toddlers was sleeping in a crib I wanted to use for the new baby.
