UPDATE as of 1/25/21: I ordered two entries last night. The chick parm was burnt. I called and politely complained. They are sending me a gift certificate for the price of entree which I appreciate and is only fair. I recognize it's COVID and restaurants are doing the best they can but they have got to look at what the meals are sending out in take out. This wasn't acceptable. This review below is from 12/21/17:The prices have gotten CRAZY here! The food is always good but the amounts they are charging for their food is way too high for what you get. Pasta doesn't cost much to make and neither does chicken with a side of potatoes. I think the owners have big heads these days and think they're Mario Bitalli hence why they feel they can charge as much as they do. More...

Their food is always fresh and delicious. Â Fair warning, unless you're a big eater, their portions are large enough for 2 ppl to share, which my husband and I frequently do when ordering for take out.

We couldn’t have asked for a better meal. The salad was fresh, the chicken broccoli rigatoni was splendid and the cheesecake unbelievable- GO! You won’t be disappointed!

This is my absolute favorite restaurant in Lafayette Hill. I order pickup almost every weekend. Â The staff is friendly and precise with ordering. The food is out of this world. I always get the chicken francaise and it's the best I've ever had. Pizza and sandwiches are great too. I highly recommend this place for curbside or dining in. More...

Had a delicious lunch, linguini with clams, Caesar salad, and dessert everything was so fresh, clams were excellent, will definitely go back, and it’s quite a ride for me but it was well worth it

I have to start this review by saying that in all the many visits I have made to From The Boot I have never had a bad meal. Â I went yesterday with 2 friends and I am sorry that other than the picture of the Garlic Knots I did not take any others. Â We started the meal with a "Custom Pizza" (Large) with Sauce, Olive Oil and Basil (no cheese) and it was insanely good. Â I ordered the Filet with the onions and mushrooms (and the reduction) on the side with a side of Fettuccini with Vodka Sauce. Â Perfect!, My one friend got the Veal Piccata with Angel Hair Pasta (he had them put the Piccata Sauce on the Pasta. Â He was quite happy with his meal as well. Â My other friend ordered Chicken Saltimbocca which came with Potatoes and Vegetables. Â We did not get dessert (we ordered it but it was taking too long and the guilt set in so we cancelled it). If you want some amazing local Italian food, this is the place to go. Atmosphere: as of now, outdoor dining is only available but the service was fast on a Tuesday night. We reserved for 7PM (encouraged today make reservations) but I don't think I would've been waiting too long if I hadn't made reservations. Although I did get 10 mosquito bites while I was sitting outside. So wear bug spray (especially if you're eating during sundown) Food: amazing!!! The penne vodka and stuffed mushrooms were recommended by a friend and I couldn't have been more impressed. The garlic knots completed this whole meal. It was so soft and so warm with so much flavor. I was told to dip the garlic knots into the sherry cream of the stuffed mushrooms and it was heaven. As pictured, we got one appetizer and two entrees. The pizza was mediocre (but NYC pizza kinda ruined me). Service: not much to say other than friendly and nice. I will definitely be returning with my family. Not sure what the big draw is here. They don't take reservations, so you wait in a very small area for your table. Â The stuffed mushrooms were good but the house salad was so full of blue cheese, that's all you tasted. And the garlic knots, dripping with so much oil and garlic, overwhelming!
