I booked an appointment with Issac. He is incredibly warm and welcoming. Issac genuinely wants to take great care of everyone. As a licensed massage therapist myself, I enjoy working with other like minded body-workers like Issac. I felt comfortable about the entire appointment from start to finish. I really enjoyed the treatment and did feel very zen afterward. It felt great to walk out of my appointment with a more centered outlook. There is no pressure to book another appointment, and not once did I feel like just a "customer". I noticed notable positive changes after just one treatment, and the interactions were friendly and sincere. I am interested to try a Tui Na massage session and learn more about the herbs which are available. I have never had acupuncture before and wanted to try it for the severe headaches and tension I get in my head and neck. I met with Isaac and he immediately made sure I was comfortable and offered me something to drink while we proceeded with paperwork. He was very talkative and I could tell he had a compassion for wanting to help the people he is treating. I was a little nervous at first, but Isaac was amazing at distracting you and talking to you while he performed the acupuncture. There was nothing painful about it! Then I relaxed for about 45 minutes until he took the needles out. He played soft music and turned down the lights during this time. It was very relaxing and claming. My headaches have been significantly better since I went about 3 weeks ago, and I can definitely feel less tension in the back of my neck. I usually prefer that service providers (doctors, spas, restaurants) be within walking distance of my apartment, but I happily take a ride down to the Foothils.

I first went because I was having a health challenge and two different friends BOTH recommended that I go see Michael Sugiura who founded the Foothills Acupuncture Clinic. He is passionate and has an extensive knowledge and dedication when it comes to working on health issues.

The facility is lovely and reminiscent of an oasis. It is the kind of place where even the hand soap smells nice.

I could not be happier with my treatments. Every issue I have had has been addressed with care. I truly looked forward to my weekly appointments. I did a combination of acupuncture and Chinese herbs. I was skeptical at first of the herbs, but they actually seem to have helped.

I have already recommended Michael to dozens of my friends, and I recommend it to you without reservation. More...

I fell down the stairs carrying laundry 10 months ago and couldn't walk. I went to countless doctors appointments with Kaiser trying to find answers through MRIs and other tests. I found Isaac about a month ago and am ALREADY walking again. FINALLY. He's also treating me for a female disorder and digestive issues. I love Isaac because he is thorough, patient and knowledgable. He is also a trained EMT, so he has an understanding of Western and Eastern medicine. I can't sing his praises enough - if I could give 10 stars I would. I came in to see Isaac for an injured elbow and shoulder after falling off my longboard on rough cement. His acupuncture treatment immediately helped the localized arm pain and the relaxing benefits continued for a few days.

My experience at foothills acupuncture was awesome! I booked an appointment with Isaac after my lower back pain had not responded to chiropractic care or PT. This was my first experience with traditional Chinese medicine. Isaac calmly listened to the entire background story regarding my pain. He explained everything he was going to do in detail and he made me feel comfortable and relaxed. He thoroughly answered all of my questions and made me feel right at home. He was very respectful and his office was very clean and organized.

Isaac is clearly an expert at acupuncture, I could barely even feel the needles and had no pain with their insertion. Overall my experience was very pleasant. I went there for two treatments, on my left shoulder, after a car accident with Mr. Micheal Sugiura. He has the technique and knowledge of what need to be treated after the consultation and diagnosis. I felt a lot better with only one treatment, but I just want to make sure that the pain won't bother me anymore. As far as 6 weeks gone by I'm still doing fine, and with his recommendation that I need to take it easy on my work duty for awhile. Isaac is kind, respectful, and intuitive. He was able to address several concerns in one treatment. His palpating skills are excellent, and he was able to locate sources of my pain. His needling is precise and practically pain free. I left leaving relaxed but energized, and my hip had more mobility and less pain.
