I purchased a house with an old roof. Of the multiple quotes I received, Steve’s was the most detailed and I could use it to check information on line. He explained the process and the different options clearly, I felt that he gave me extremely good advice. When I told him I thought his quote was on the low side compared to others he said it was a ‘fair price’. Communication was excellent via phone and email both before, during, and after the actual roofing. If I was not able to take his call, I received an email. The crew arrived when I was told they would. They were extremely professional and left my yard cleaner than when they arrived. The work was done in a timely manner. They took extra care to protect one side of my house where items that were not easy to move were stored. I highly recommend Flynn Roofing. More...

Flynn Roofing replaced our house and 2 car free standing garage roof last week along with adding some new gutters to our garage and replacing a portion of the gutter that leaks. Â The owner Stephen was accurate and competitive in his proposal and was the only person that actually got up on the roof to do the quote (I had received 3 quotes prior to making a decision on Flynn). Our roof was a disaster. After 35 years of being half-done and one side having two large solar hot water panels now needing decommissioning and removal, we needed help. When the wind really started during the 2017 season and into early 2018, we encountered blown-off shingles around the house on a regular basis. We were anxious to see who could repair it all in the correct way.Of the 3 estimates we requested from roofing companies, the Flynn Roofing estimate was slightly delayed (2 days - we were anxious!), but I soon found out why. It was so complete and professionally-presented, via email (for speed) and US Mail (for backup). All working steps and materials were outlined. In spite of a higher estimate, our choice was clear, compared to the other estimates which did not measure up.Knowing we needed help quickly, Stephen Flynn found 2 days of "good" weather (18-28 degrees and windy with bright sun) and executed the task within that window of time. All of his crew were amazing and focused on the work, spending long hours outside. How relieved we've been since the job was finished, because of wind, rain, and snow we've had just since then. Stephen Flynn and his crew did an outstanding job installing a new roof and gutters on my 1929 Dutch Colonial. Â The house was a challenge because I was replacing the old wooden gutters, which were too shallow and in disrepair, with new seamless gutters and Stephen had to integrate the house's old detail with the new gutters. Â He did a very good job. Â Also, Stephen provided a detailed contract for the job and was on-site working with his crew. Â Stephen also provided a comprehensive listing of all his previous jobs which helped with shingle selection and assessing his work. More...

One of the best experiences I have ever had with a contractor. Stephen is a straight up, hard working guy that knows his stuff and his quote was very fair- very close to another guy and much less than a well known proprietor in the Wellsley/Newton area who wanted three times as much. Stephen was very responsive and accomodated many questions and contract changes. The day of the job they showed up early and got straight to work. They didn't clean up after the job. The spread covers over all the shrubs and cleaned up DURING and after the job. They were one of the rare contractors my wife didn't complain about their clean up job after they were done and we are talking roofers- what a mess gets made! It took two days and we had our entire roof replaced.I watched the work and these people know their jobs and the foreman were very capable and customer friendly.
