Elisa was so great with our puppy! We had a pretty specific problem (separation anxiety), so I wanted to go with a private trainer over some of the group classes offered elsewhere. When I started looking for dog trainers in the PHX area, I was mind blown that some were up to $300 per session. I'm SO glad that I found Elisa - she is an experienced, knowledgeable and awesome trainer who I believe charges a very fare rate, especially considering she comes to your home for the training! She called me upon my inquiry and told me she would only need 1 lesson to fix a lot of the issues. I liked that she asked a lot of questions upfront and let me know what to expect if we worked together. She was so good we decided to do 3 lessons instead. She will only tell you what you need - not try to sell you on higher packages like some of the other dog trainers I inquired with. I'd recommend her 1000%! More...

Excellent job helping me train my dog Kira!! Reliable, patient, and friendly! She was able to come in and help me with EXACTLY what I needed! She was able to teach both my dog and myself how to fix the behaviors I was struggling with (specifically bolting out the door and walking on the leash) the best part is she came to my house and worked with my schedule! My female husky mix was bullying my submissive male chow and the husky mix was starting to rule the house in a unsavory way.  Elisa came to our home and immediately trained me and the Alfa-female husky. My husky mix is now more calmer in the house.  She's still alfa but her aggression is gone. My husky now sits quickly on command, she understand "place" (going to a spot and staying), and the biggest part- the husky mix no longer attacks my male chow. I learned dogs don't always need to cuddle and love each other but they can learn to live together without attacking each other.She also trained me on how to walk all 3 of my dogs without pulling.  Now this is heaven sent!! I walk my 3yr old female husky mix (92lbs), my 13yr old female pit mix (60lbs) and my 7yr old male chow (65lbs) ALL TOGETHER and no one pulls on the leash. Life is great. They are all calmer and happier on our daily walks.Elisa was very supportive to work with.  I did the 5 pack appointment option- and life is good. I highly recommend her- dogs need guidance and without it- they can become aggressive and disobedient and that can lead to unhappy households.  Having a pet- it is your responsibility to teach them (like children) don't surrender the dog to the pound, don't beat them- train them. Elisa is very pleasant to work with and explains why something is being done. I would highly recommend her services and you must be prepared to reinforce the dog training when she is not there. I can not say enough great things about Elisa! The first time I called her, she answered the phone right away and we talked about my concerns and goals with two crazy puppies in the house. She was understanding and knowledgeable. I could tell right away that she was passionate about dog training. I did five sessions with her, where we worked on several different commands that create a well-rounded companion. She really personalized our training sessions, which was awesome for me and my pup. My puppy responded so well to her techniques and we are continuing to master our new commands! She has been an absolute pleasure to work with. I wouldn't use anyone else to train my dogs. Elisa has been helping me with my two new Shih Tzu rescues. I reached out to several trainers on Yelp and she was the first to get back to me, very professional to deal with, and reasonably priced. We had our first appointment within a couple of days of my initial call. My dogs took to Elisa right away and she had a lot of good ideas. Training doesn't happen overnight and there are no quick fixes for anything. I'm looking forward to working on Elisa's training techniques. More...

Elisa is the best! She really helped Carrera learn to calm down and taught her who was "in charge" when on the leash. The implementation of the prong collar has changed the whole walking experience for Carrera and I. She is so much better in public places, on the trail, and just anywhere I need her to behave. Elisa was calm with my aggressive dog. She taught me how to properly handle my little Chiweenie Olaf. Professional to say the least, knowledgeable about my dog, personable and very positive. She really wants me to succeed. She has kept in touch as to how things are going... and I am following her training for Olaf and it is great. Approachable and Confident! Elisa asked me questions about what I wanted to get out of training which meant that she was interested and cared about my goals. My 5 mo old rescue had separation anxiety and some bad behavior like biting hands and getting into my plants. After our first phone conversation I became more confident in my ability to know what’s best for my dog and confident in my decision in hiring her. We did a 3 lesson package which we discussed would be a good start and she wasn’t pushy about adding more training days. Day 1 was mostly on bad behavior and how to help with crate training and general concerns. Day 2 was come and call which was fun and successful! Day 3 was Place command which we are currently working on and excited because I take my dog to work and would like him to rest while I have meetings. Elisa did assure me that if I wanted to add on more training sessions that she would be available! I am looking forward to reconnecting with her for some check-ins and an update on my pup who seems more balanced and happy and listens. More...

She was an aggressively frightened doggo when we got her ; now she walks amazing on and off the leash, plays well with other dogs, uses the dog door, lets us brush and wash her with out incident.

Highly recommended!Elisa is amazing! We hired her to train my Golden Retriever puppy. He was jumping up on us and not listening . .....along with other naughty behaviors. After just a few lessons he's learned so much and he has such nice manners now. Her directions for our puppy and for us are very easy to follow and straight forward. I researched multiple trainers in the hopes of finding the best fit for my dog. I have an American Mastiff  that is now 8 months old. I chose Elisa and she started working with Luca at 5 months. I did not want an unruly. misbehaving dog let alone one that when full grown will near 200 lbs. I knew rather quickly that we had chosen the correct trainer. She is professional, personable, accommodating and on time. She listened intently to our hopes and wishes and then handled Luca like he was her only client. Elisa was truly professional and vey helpful.  I have a Maltese puppy that was out of control when I contacted her.  We couldn't get her house trained and she was barking, jumping, chewing and we needed help fixing these issues and training her for obedience.  Elisa was patient, easy to work with and helped my wife and I learn how to train our puppy to listen and do obedience commands reliably.  The thing we were most impressed by was that Elisa was always on time, answered her phone or responded to texts when we had questions.  She never rushed us and we appreciated the great customer service she provided.  Unfortunately in today's society, customer service levels have really declined and experiencing fantastic customer service is unusual.  Thank you Elisa for your great training methods, customer service and overall passion for helping my wife, myself and of course Jonah!  We highly recommend Fit Dog Training to anyone who needs an amazing dog trainer! Elisa was a huge help with our 6 month old English Springer Spaniel, Risqué.  We needed a hand trying to reign in an extremely active puppy, and we got it. We still have loads of work ahead of us, but now we have a strong foundation to build on. Our schedules were crazy, but we found a way to work it out and get our sessions in.  She even brought along her own dog on our last session to give Risqué some exposure to giant sized dogs. Truly professional.  Returned calls, explained process and went through all options even before making an appointment.  First visit prompt and patient. Never made our family feel like we couldn't raise our new Westie puppy as part of our family.
