FFC PARK RIDGE

I love this gym! I used to work out at a gym 5 years in a row. I have tried planet fitness for a year and export for 3 and then another year I did snap fitness. It has been nothing compared to this gym. You literally get what you pay for. Not only that but since I have become more disabled due to lupus ect, they offer trainers that are knowledgeable in physical therapy. They can customize for the person without forcing you to hurt yourself like all the other gyms. On top of that it is so clean. The people are quality and everyone is very friendly. Even when they aren't just the energy in the place is fantastic. I am not as shy when I go to the gym and I have severe anxiety and PTSD. If you are looking for a clean no judgement gym this is really where its at if you can afford it. More...

Clean, organized, well equipped gym. Lots of employees to look after the gym and keep it neat. Locker room is well maintained and clean. But I am really surprised that we dont have an over head shower by the sauna, to wash off all the sweat before jumping into the pool or jacuzzi. I can't speak to the whole place, but I just took a yoga and climbing workshop and it was a blast!!! I live in Chicago, and came into town for this event and am so glad I did! !! The workshop started with a 15-20 yoga flow to warm the body and then we just jumped into climbing. I have never climbed before and was looking for a strength training complement to my regular yoga practice and this could certainly be it!!! I made it to the top of two of the routes!!!! I am still a little jittery from the excitement of making it to the top!!! If you are a member and have not used this wall, what are you waiting for!!!! I guess is free for members!!! I will certainly be back and it was worth every penny of my $20 for the workshop!!! See you soon wall! Nick, the climbing guy, was super encouraging and very excited to have people on the wall! FFC is a great chain of clubs, moderately priced, and exceptional services provided. A variety of group classes are offered and the instructors are top notch. Personal trainers are very knowledgeable and affordable. The pool facility is great, offering an outdoor pool and bar. Basketball court and juice bar also on premise. We love FFC! We love the included group classes and the variety of machines and weights. We liked how new and well kept everything was at first. The staff is always friendly and we have enjoyed purr trainers.

**Update, after management response, I have observed the described repairs and cleanings. Thank you for listening to your customers, that's why we are sticking with FFC! I have changed my review to 5 stars.**

That said, after it's been open for a year, it seems that maintenance had taken a dip. The sink handles fall down after turning on the water on multiple sinks, showers have many different broken soap holders and some broken shower handles, and the hot tub is grimy in the corners with hair balls floating around. The value of the membership is starting to drop below what we're paying, so we're considering finding somewhere else. More...

I am going to PT at the Nova Care inside the FFC. The gym is beautiful and well taken care of. I guess it is more of a health club than just a gym. I am sure it will cost more than the $10 a month I pay for my gym membership and I think it might be worth it. More...
