I stopped in and had that pulled pork sandwich platter. The fries & Cole slaw was absolutely fine but THE MEAT WAS DELICIOUS. I couldn't be more pleased.

I visited Fat Rick's BBQ cafe in Foulkstone Plaza yesterday to pick up provisions for dinner. Happy to report that their chicken barbecue and pulled pork barbecue are VERY tasty. I lived in North Carolina for 13 years, so I'm glad to finally find a place in Wilmington that gets BBQ right. Great sauces, too. Fresh creamy coleslaw and sweet cornbread complete a great meal. I've known this man all my life when he was just plain Rick, then it happened Memphis Style BBQ ribs along with gator and other items then Mix Walts fried Chicken and plenty of sides, he couldn't help but become FAT RICK, with those ribs and chicken he became the giant in the restaurant and catering business, with all the delicious foods there is one more main ingredient that help make Fat Rick's what it is to day, Mrs. Tina Betz she been by his side for 44yrs!!! Rick is super easy to work with.
..I stopped down into his restaurant one afternoon and got to talking with him about my idea for serving BBQ at a wedding. His pricing is fair and will definitely help you make sure you get exactly what you're looking for. We didn't have to worry about set-up or clean-up and his crew made sure that the place looked just like it did before they got there. They also made sure that my wife and I got all of the leftovers (Including the leftover sauce!)
I would recommend Fat Ricks to anyone who is looking to serve a ton of people some excellent BBQ.
