When I came to F3, I wanted something that would be a fun way to get in shape. I found it! Workouts are designed to be challenging but doable, and I have a blast. Exercises vary a lot so I always feel engaged. Daniel is a great coach with obvious expertise and he is also personable and fun to be around. The prices are reasonable. His approach is geared toward meeting your individual goals. He strikes a great balance between supporting you and pushing you to do more. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my workouts at F3!! I am training for the Spartan races right now and I don’t know where I would be without Dan. He continually pushes me to be better and it pays off every single workout. We do rope climbs, monkey bars, pipes, spear throws... he has so many cool things to play with - things you won’t find at any other gym. I absolutely love working with Dan at F3 Functional Fitness! I have been training with him for a few months now and am noticing a great difference in my performance and athleticism (after plateauing with nearly 2 years of working out regularly). I visit his gym 5 times a week and work on anything from strength and cardio, to specific obstacle course race training. Dan's large amount of knowledge and experience allows for widely varied workouts that can be modified for people of any athletic ability. In May 2019 I introduced both of my parents (who have not previously enjoyed gyms and were fairly sedentary) to Dan at F3, and they were very quickly hooked. He has been able to create workouts that fit their athletic ability, while also catering to mine in the same class time. He also made working out fun for my parents, rather than making them feel like they were simply following a circuit around a room (like they had felt at previous gyms). Dan also genuinely cares for the people who attend his gym. He offers tests for metabolic rate and body composition as well as surveys for lifestyle habits (amount of sleep, food and water consumption, etc.) in order to get a more complete picture of health for each member, to best help them on their fitness journey. Oftentimes a workout at F3 will also involve recording data from the workout (weight used, maximum reps, etc.) that can be stored in an individual's file. This allows members to frequently check in on their own progress, in ways that are not always apparent with a body composition test. I have previously tried different types of gyms (from big-box to class-based circuits) and have not found something like F3 Functional Fitness before. With each visit I find a uniquely challenging workout and supportive camaraderie among Dan and the other members. I would give him 10 out of 5 stars if I could. More...

When a client transforms from being interested to being obsessed with living the life they have dreamt of. When they genuinely want to learn as much as possible and take ownership of their failure or success
What inspired you to start your own business?
After living a fit and healthy life for 45 years, I knew I needed to reach out and help as many people as possible. I saw how people were allowing a poor diet, sedentary lifestyle, over indulgence of short term pleasures, awful sleep, using negative coping mechanisms to deal with stress, and a non-growth oriented mindset
