Exquisite catering by Robert review: i would NOT recommend them and this is why… So it’s been a few days since our event.
And I tossed the idea of even posting anything but in a day and age where things are costing in absorbent amounts business have to work harder and harder to earn business and there are a lot of good ones out there. I was referred this business by someone in the entertainment industry and felt confident that it would suffice due to my laziness of not wanting to prepare food for 40 people myself. The office staff was helpful in setting everything up. But did caution me not to get the quiche since they buy those at Costco. That should have been my red flag. I looked at pictures to see what they offered and it looked nice, and I expected that quality. Since I was paying almost $50 a person (I will let you do the basic math without delivery charges, etc), I would have expected a very nice spread. The driver came 30 min before the event to drop the delivery, very nice and proud of his display and said “we are the best in the area”. So I did my best not to insult him because it that was their best…. Wow. I could not imagine what their worst looked like. Delivered these huge chafing trays with food that was half the size inside shuffled to one side. The cold foods looked very nice. But the warm food is where it all went south. The bacon wrapped scallops were smelly. So my whole house smelled like they had been left out and then wrapped. But the bacon was already dried out upon delivery. The stuffed mushrooms looked like they were taken out of the freezer (even though they still “prepare those in house”), heated and then stored only to be heated for our Sunday event, sent in 2 trays but they both would have fit easily into one as they were smaller than my thumb nail. The “chicken bites”. Hahaha. More like bricks were definitely cooked prior were dry upon delivery and the spring rolls were soggy upon delivery only to end up dry and inedible within a 2 hour time frame with the appropriate chafing dishes and heating source. The tortellini was soggy and the sauce idk why it looked like it did. I reached out to the office the next day and their simple answer was “oh, we are so sorry we have never had that type of response before”. 🤔. And thank goodness I ordered my own paper plates, etc… the quality they sent was inexcusable for the price I paid. And here I am to warn you. When there are SO many caterers out there. Don’t be in a hurry to pick the first one. I was just being lazy and could have easily prepared the food but wanted to enjoy the event without the hassle. So for me. I would not be quick to use exquisite catering by Robert again. The pictures are on their small appetizer size plates so you understand the size variation. I wish I did a better job of taking pictures initially. I was just so embarrassed that that was what I had for my event (a group of people, whom many I had not met before) and there was nothing I could do since the party started at 1 and he came at 12:30. And the person who referred me tried reaching out to the vendor herself and was brushed off as well.
After I posted the above, a member of their office staff called my referral source to ask if I would remove my posts. And Robert himself reached out once with no offer of resolution.

Amazing experience. Fantastic service (Brian) and excellent food. Hired the company for baby shower and couldn't ask for any better. The attendee came earlier, was professional, friendly, a great help. Everyone commented on how delicious the brunch food was. The only complaint would be that the fruit were not fresh/ripe. I wish I did pay the extra fee since they were basically not edible. I hired Exquisite for a dinner party at home and they were awesome! Their food was delicious. I went with the Chef's Exquisite Combo and all my guests were thrilled with the food. They had provided a bit of extra food but it was so good, a few people reserved themselves and finished it all. Even the bread was gone and I've never been to a dinner party where the bread is actually finished. I worked with Vanessa and Todd leading up to the date and they were so kind and helpful. Very professional and willing to help in any way they could. The day of the dinner they dropped off the food for me right on time and the person who delivered (I unfortunately forgot his name) was also very friendly.
