I moved into a Condo 2 years ago. I loved the layout and high ceilings in my new space but it was rather “dated” and the kitchen was a definite eyesore. Wasn’t sure how I could afford renovations – we drained our savings account for the down payment and promptly spent over $25K for new floors and skim coating. But it still wasn’t up to par because, well, the kitchen was just ugly. We saved for over a year and started exploring contractors. We got a range of quotes - $18K (clearly too low) to $90K (no way!). We finally met Expo Home and from the start they seemed just right. Not just in terms of pricing but reliability. We had several meetings (with Jacob and Shay) before finalizing the contract and the team was always patient and professional. Jacob was clear on the scope of work and onsite regularly to manage his team. Whenever we called with questions or concerns (no matter how small) he got back to us ASAP. This is the guy you want managing your project – one who won’t disappear once he has your money but who remains engaged and committed to achieving the outcome you want. My kitchen is stunning (and I’m a picky one)! Seriously, it is magazine worthy. They installed our high-end Thermador appliances effortlessly. The cabinets were installed within a couple of days and look amazing. Mid-project we decided to ditch the idea of a built-in bench and table and we requested a countertop instead. “Sure, no problem” Jacob said. He was reassuring and accommodating with this change (and even a few others). Most of the time, the Expo team worked in our space when my husband and I were at work. Because of Jacob, we trusted the workers completely and Jacob was great at sending photos to show updates. The project was completed within a reasonable time and now, when I enter my kitchen I can’t stop smiling!! Stop looking for the right contractors and hire these people. EXPO HOMEShay AlfandariWe contacted Shay for an estimate. Shay came in right on target with the other contractors. What made Shay stand out and for us to choose him was that there was such an instant chemistry that I felt. Not only did I feel that Shay knew what we wanted and were aiming to achieve on our remodel, but his energy was magnetic. I completely felt that we would be in good hands with Shay. Demolition day was just that! Everything was basically demoed in a day. Our goal was our Kitchen and our Guest Bathroom. After the project was started the remodel became; the bathroom, dining room, kitchen, den and relayed flooring throughout the whole house to make and endless seem. Shay gave and provided us with such guidance that we could not say no. And OMG - yes so glad we said YES. The house is simply Amazing. From the time you walk in our house went from 1940's to now 21st Century Modern. Grays and Whites. The cabinets are Hi-Gloss Lacquered, and the appliances are majority Black Stainless Steel. The backsplash of Ocean Tones of Blues brings it all together. Oh, did I forget....The workmen that do all the hands-on projects from start to finish are Top Notch. I don't think I could ever have though that they would be 1) so professional, 2) such autonomy and 3) always on time and friendly. We did an extensive renovation (2 baths, raised ceiling, master, total plumbing etc) with Shay and the Expo team and are extremely happy with the results. It's been 3 months since completion and we have had no nasty surprises and the team have even come by to help take care of things we hadn't originally scoped.We bid the project out to 5 GCs and chose Expo because of the competitive price, samples from other projects and honesty in our meetings - it never felt like we were being sold to or taken advantage of. The strong first impression bore out over the course of the project with high attention to detail, responsiveness anytime we had questions and being honest about timelines and the cost of various changes. After getting several quotes for the bathroom remodeling Expo Home Design & Remodeling came in at one of the most reasonable. Expo Design and Remodeling's employees were so professional and neat. They arrived everyday on time and cleaned up every night before they left. The prices they quoted were the prices they charged. I was very impressed with Shay from Expo from the very first interactions we had -- he was knowledgeable, patient, and straightforward. We considered five contractors for a whole-house remodel and after a couple of rounds eliminated three of them, leaving Expo and another contractor with whom we had already worked. Shay took me to see a house Expo built recently, which looked great, and also was very detailed oriented and clear in communicating about our remodeling plans. I decided to make a huge sacrifice to convert my garage into a legal accessory dwelling unit, complete with full permits and in compliance with all Los Angeles city codes. Jacob was in charge of this project, and was incredibly thorough and very flexible with the (many) needs I had, including working with the tight budget I had to complete this project. With the support of Shay, they created a beautiful studio that my tenants are proud to call home, all while taking care of visiting the city on multiple occasions to take care of the permits required for the job. I chose expo home because felt really comfortable with Shay. he was very knowledgeable and informative about all my questions and concerns.
Expo home replaced my floor tiles, installed a new cabinet, installed new base boards and repainted the whole bathroom.
They did it very quickly and professionally and I'm very happy for it. The workers came on time, and made sure everything else around the work area wont get dirty.

Shay (and his assistant, Isaiah) handled our emergency bathroom remodel with professionalism and thoroughness. He navigated the red tape of the city permit office, kept us informed the entire way, and finished up the job by making certain we were happy with the tiling, paint scheme and layout of the redone bath. He even created a door through an unused closet to transform it into a master bath! In addition to other smaller jobs he included in the usual price, Shay and his guys completely rewired our home's electricity (which the inspector determined was an essential upgrade) and redid our plumbing from top to bottom - all of this for a very reasonable total price! We had earlier consulted with four other contractors, and none of them felt quite like a right fit. Expo Home Design wasn't even doing business in our area when we found him on Yelp, but Shay was willing to accommodate us despite our distance. Shay is straightforward, honest, reasonable and flexible. We liked him right away. A complete Bathroom remodel. New floors, covert tub are to shower, install cabinets, new paint, new recess lights, overall electric job and install shower door.
The job process was great. everything was done right on time and we finished it before the estimated time that was scheduled. we love our new bathroom and very happy with the outcome. we highly recommend Roee and the crew as a very professional team and we will hire them in the future for our kitchen remodel.

We chose Expo after evaluating 3 remodeling services. We're happy with the decision. Shay is caring, apathetic and attentive all the time. The contractors are professional and the qualify of work is top rated. Both Shay and contractors are proactively communicating design ideas and processes. We are quite happy with the end results. One suggestion for owners who are considering to use the service (yes, you should): make sure you define the scope of work as detailed as possible and set your budget early on with both sides' agreement. They did a great job! Shay and Joe were polite and informative throughout the entire process. We did and entire gut and remodel from floors to walls to shower etc and turned out wonderful. We are extremely pleased with their hard work and professionalism, workers were courteous and prompt every day. They also made sure to address every concern we had as well as answer any questions we needed. Any small obstacles were quickly resolved and the entire job was finished in a timely manner. We'll definitely be keeping in touch with them for any upcoming projects in the future! More...
