My 8 year old was a little disappointed that she didn't see the Easter bunny this year, Mathis House saved the day Easter morning! The display was beautiful and they loaded her up with yummy homemade cookies! I placed an order and had fully intended on waiting, but the owner did everything she could to get it out as quick as possible so I didn't have to wait long. We've gone back since for the farm stand and talking to the owner and staff is always so pleasant. They treat you as if they've known you forever. Can't wait to be able to go inside! More...

I’ve been watching the FB page for a few months now, looking at all the great events they host and finally made the trip up to Toms River for the day to give them a try. I’m very glad I did! We were seated immediately upon arrival; it wasn’t super busy during our visit, just our table and one other in another room. Our server was great; she was very knowledgeable and very attentive during our visit. I loved that you had a stand with a variety of tea cups in the middle of the table for you to choose for your visit. I chose to try the Cotton Candy tea which was pretty good. We had the carrot coconut soup, a variety of tea sandwiches, apricot mini scone, and dessert assortment. Everything tasted as if it was freshly made and the scones were even served slightly warm. My mother and I have been to multiple events at the Mathis House since November, 2019 and we absolutely love it here. The Innkeeper, Vicki Weiss, is a phenomenal person and ALWAYS makes you feel welcome and special. Her staff also provides an amazing hospitable experience. Vicki has an incredible passion for detail, and this is found all throughout the Mathis House. Her teas, scones, and other edibles allow for an epic culinary adventure. The Inn also provides beautiful items to purchase within the wonderful gift shop. The Mathis House should be on everyone's list for a day, evening, or overnight excursion. My husband and I stayed this weekend for two wonderful days. Our room (The Queen Alexa) was absolutely stunning! The wonderful host Vickie was gracious enough to make us a breakfast fit for royalty and delivered to our room. The house is period decorated and you are instantly transported back in time. We were in total awe as soon as we walked in. Vickie was beyond accommodating and gives you plenty of privacy to relax and unwind. We will most definitely be back soon!
