Judd and his crew are absolutely amazing! Very responsive, fun and active members in the wedding planning process! They helped me with a few issues and stressors that arose during the busiest time for wedding planning, including helping me find a hair stylist, getting ready location ideas, and creative photo locations. They were accommodating with meetings and communication back and forth which was very important due to my being an out of state bride and working a rotating schedule as a nurse. I knew from the beginning I didn't want stiff portraits, they specialize in candids, and will tell you out right not to focus on the standard portraits because that's not what you are paying them for. They make sure to get all the photos that are important to you and more. I knew I could trust in their skills to capture all the moments I want to treasure if our special day. Their photography is absolutely stunning! Everyone I know (including other photographers) have been raving about their work. Monica and Judd were so great to work with! For anyone who has never done a photo shoot, they make the process comfortable and easy. They captured beautiful shots of the most important moments in our wedding, and yet we hardly knew they were there. They are clearly dedicated to their craft and will do whatever it takes to make everyone look their best - even standing on tiptoes to catch just the right light. My husband and I had an amazing time working with Monica and Judd! We did both our engagement session and wedding with them and the photographs turned out even better than expected. When we were first on the hunt for photographers we feel in love with the documentary style photography instead of all staged photos and we were so happy to find out that Eve Event has this philosophy as well. Monica and Judd helped us feel comfortable during our engagement session which made the wedding day much more relaxed already knowing them and their photography style. Monica and her second-shooter Liza did a truly incredible job at our wedding on 7.1.17.
Our wedding was a pretty eclectic affair.
I am a farm kid from North Dakota and a Marine. My wife grew up in New York but much of her family immigrated from Trinidad. We were hoping to find a photographer that could capture the unique facets of our families and our relationship along with the beautiful setting of St. Mary's Church and the Wedding Barn at Champlain Valley Alpacas.
Two shooters was the way to go - they always had someone at the right place at the right time. What initially got me interested in their photography was a strong recommendation from a friend about their artistry and "documentary" style approach. I have never liked artificial poses or attempts to mimic what is trendy or cool. Monica & Liza captured the beauty of the day and place and our families in a genuine way.
They are great communicators. We genuinely enjoyed having them around, joking and talking with us, it did not feel cold or transactional - it really felt like they were a part of our big day, and they were. They were very thorough in the lead up to the big day, had a good idea of our overall timeline, and were very attentive to shifts in the plan. Not only that, they brought so many amazing and creative ideas - using beautiful aspects of the church, the space, ceremonial items like my Marine officer's sword, and other things. Their Polaroid station and props were a HUGE hit as well - can't recommend the book enough, we still get laughs out of it to this day.
In the end, I feel like the photos transport me back to the greatest memory of my life. We are truly thankful for Monica & Liza and their team and hope they can continue to do such beautiful work for others!

We are from CT so were nervous about how we'd find great VT vendors without friend/family recommendations. Luckily I stumbled upon Eve Event's page, loved their photography and we were able to set up a Skype meeting with them. We connected with them over Skype and my husband loved that they identified the rare VT beer he was drinking on our couch during the session. Once we hired them, they gave us direction on things like a formal list & timing that we had no clue about and they were responsive via email...which is what every bride hopes for.We couldn't have asked for anything more at the rehearsal dinner or wedding....I honestly felt like I never saw Judd or his assistant the entire time...they were invisible but were obviously there because the whole wedding is documented beautifully!...When it came time for the formals they were on their game and flew through the long list.Seeing our photos allowed us to relive the best day of our lives all over again. We hired Monica and Judd for our June 2013 wedding. Living outside of VT it was great to be able to Skype with them in order to get a good feel for how they work as photographers and explain what we were looking for. We didn't have to look much further!Simply, if you like the samples of photos from their previous events you will love their photos of your event. Their sample photos are not a selective sampling of the best photos they have, these are the quality of photos you can expect to get for your event! Monica and Judd worked seamlessly with us on our event, capturing all the little moments that you might not think to capture in the rush of your big day. Leading up to the event they were very responsive and quick to answer any questions we had. They worked quickly and professionally to catch all the photos we specifically asked to have. It was so easy to have great photos taken one on one with them because they were so personal and flexible. One of the best pieces of advice I received as a bride was: get the photographer you want, even if that means splurging a little bit.
