I cannot say enough good things about working with Ethan. I hate having my picture taken but really needed some updated photos for work purposes. Ethan made it easy and fun--our hour flew by!He was incredibly prepared and professional as well as just nice, which goes a long way in my book. Not only did he pick a great spot, he got there early and made every minute count. Last but not least, he got the pictures back to me the next day (on a long weekend!), far faster than he promised. And as if that weren't enough, he gave me a ton more photos than what I paid for. (I almost feel like I shouldn't say that, because I don't want people to come to expect it. :) But wow!)The bottom line: book this guy. He's local, he's talented, he goes above and beyond. I'm looking forward to doing a family shoot with him in the future and would recommend him for grad photos, family celebrations, and more. More...

Ethan has taken our family photos for the last 4 years and we love the photos he takes. He is great at getting natural smiles from my children as they play outside. He makes these photo sessions enjoyable and the kids also have fun. His price is great and he sends us our photos within a couple days (less than 24 hours this time)! What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Engage, engage, engage. Fill the frame with light, action, and color. Get in there; people want a photographer to succeed beyond their expectations for the look, the shoot, the polished outcome. The photographer is, like the camera, an instrument of detection, of discovery.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
What is your idea of good service and quality?
What will these images be for? Who are these for? What images of mine caught your eye and why? Do you know I'm a documentary-style wedding shooter, that my images have lots of color and activity?
Do you hate super posed High School yearbooky-looking photos? I do!
What do you love most about your job?
It allows me to be a master at my craft. I am confident in a group, and I like to lead.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I would eat grass in order to have my freedom. It is so exciting to be free. Financial freedom is freedom.
Why should our clients choose you?
Because they'll never quite meet someone like me otherwise, and this means my eye is adapted to a very specific sense of observation. Former intelligence officer, former teacher, Spanish speaker, visited 33 countries and lived many years abroad, I will pick out details and catch things in a scene that others will lose. I hate instagram, and don't pretend to do the typical performative instagrammy copy and look, you know, the one look everyone has these days where photography is washed out and perfect, flat and boring. The influencer's prettily steaming cup of coffee perched on some $3000 sofa next to a Siamese cat that looks like it is stuffed, yechhh.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I am an asthmatic, which means I'm masking up, I have three booster shots so far (last in mid-April 2022). I have small children at home, so every safety precaution is in place to ensure client safety, because it's also my safety.
