In 2017 I had my left hip replaced. I have short thick muscled legs, and there was a bit of an issue pulling them out of the way to facilitate the surgery.
I have gone more than 4 years without being able to hike or just walk a couple miles without extreme pain. After many different modalities, I was finally referred to Jennifer by my Naturopath Doctor.
What a huge difference she has made and is still making!!
Along with hands on gentle massage, She has tailor made stretches and specific exercises to help in releasing the tightness of the muscles and fascia.
What a difference she has made in less than 10 appointments! And man have I learned a lot!!
Thank you Jennifer for your expertise and guidance! And important reminders!!

After 2 and a half years battling aggressive Leukemia and receiving HSCT (bone marrow transplant) in January of 2015, I had lost a tremendous amount of what used to be my
"pre-catastrophic illness average fitness level and strength." My doctors kept saying "Welcome to your new normal", but I wanted my OLD normal back. So, in March of 2018, I was finally ready to begin my journey to get my "old normal" back.
At first, I signed on with a former professional body builder for an initial 3 months, and very quickly realized the value fitness & strength training was bringing to my daily life. However, at the end of that initial 12 week period, due to distance and scheduling issues, I needed to find a new strength trainer. It was at this point, I met my NEW trainer, Jennifer, (EspiFitness) liked her, and began training with her twice a week in July 2018. ALL of my muscles were still very weak & needed strengthening, everywhere in my body. My heart and lungs were fairly weak, too. I was still very stiff and inflexible as well. Now, 15 months later, I am still training 1 or 2 or 3 times each week with Jennifer, depending on what my schedule allows. Nothing else I have done compares to this: I've been to doctor prescribed physical therapy with several physical therapists, and I have received training from a professional body builder for 3 months, too, and I used to go to a chiropractor pretty frequently, as well, but helpful as these were, they just can't compare to the value, benefits, results, that I can FEEL in my body, in the marked improvement in my ability to function in my daily life, that I have received from showing up, usually twice a week, for a one hour strength training session with Jennifer. I am amazed at the benefits I have received from HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) from her. I am amazed at how FAR Jennifer has brought me. For me: regaining / rebuilding strength is like turning the aging clock backward. Gradually regaining my former younger stronger self, feeling really good again like I remember I used to feel before I got Leukemia, has been a true real life gradual miracle for me. I love what strength training, high intensity interval training, learning how to stretch, learning what to do for stiff fascia, and the "dynamic" movements & exercises are doing for me. Jennifer brings a real depth and breadth of knowledge ( 4 yr degree) in all of these. Every training session is different. I am NEVER bored. Jennifer is very responsive to my feedback and my requests.
I will NEVER stop training with Jennifer.

I am a lifelong athlete (Cross Country runner, Golfer, Professional level Bowler) and a nerd with a career spent SITTING at a desk, which caused me to suffer lower back pain. For Christmas 2018, my wife gave me the gift of 12 sessions (one full hour each) of personal strength training, with trainer Jennifer Espinoza. After only two sessions, I could FEEL the increase in my stability, and in my power, in my bowling because Jennifer was teaching me to work my core. Also, because I had a career sitting in front of a computer, Jennifer customized each of my work out sessions to target the specific muscles in my lower back that needed to be stronger. Only a few months later, my lower back feels great. Then, four months ago, I broke both bones in my lower leg in 2 places and also fractured my ankle, forcing me to depend on crutches for a while. While I was waiting for my surgery date to set my bones, Jennifer customized my workouts to strengthen my upper body. Later, when I was in an orthopedic “boot” and after that, when I was finally out of the “boot,” Jennifer devised a very specific set of exercises to augment my physical therapy treatments, resulting in a speed up of my recovery and a more rapid return to my pre-injury golf, running, and bowling performance levels. Jennifer has extensive knowledge (4 year degree) of the muscular system and how it functions. I have been so pleased with the results of my strength training from her, that I have extended my training sessions through 2019 with no end date in sight. The difference Jennifer’s training has made, for me, is well worth every penny I’ve spent for the training with her. This is one of the best things I have ever done for myself.

Working with Jennifer honestly changed my life. When setting a goal to lose weight, many people will tell you to make sure whatever you’re doing is sustainable. From teaching me longevity and sustainability to meal prepping alongside me, Jen really showed me the benefits to changing my life. Pushing me way past my limits, while always being personable made my entire experience pleasant. Even though our time had to come to an end, she helped me lose a whopping 35 pounds and counting. And she even still checks in every now and then from 2000 miles away to see how my Angela Bassett arms are coming along. More...

Being able to see people achieve the things they NEVER thought they could do. I thrive on the personal relationships that I am able to create which have allowed me to witness first hand the lifestyle shift they are able to create not only in appearance, but their overall physical and emotional health.

I worked in commercial gyms for years. It didn't take me long to realize how "money focused" these gyms were rather than looking out for what's best for THE CLIENT. I spent 6 years of schooling studying the human body and nutrition and my goal is to share as much of that knowledge as I can. Through my personal experiences and coaching others, I hope to help those who are seeking MORE for themselves and who want to achieve their most optimal self.

I care about you, as a person, not as a dollar sign. I think that's the biggest fault I see in the fitness setting. Gyms and clubs are after your money and could care less about your well-being. I am educated: BS in Health Science, MS in Exercise and Nutrition. I have been a personal trainer for 7 years and currently have several fitness certifications. I have experience working with special populations such as post-stroke patients, diabetics, people who suffer from metabolic syndrome, fibromyalgia, arthritis, post surgical, and pre & post natal women. I am passionate about personal and professional growth so I am always looking for ways to better myself, and hope to help you do the same!
