For any type of an event, class reunion, wedding or formal gala, I can always count on Erik "DJ Richterscale" to go above and beyond. When I needed a DJ/Emcee for our Junior League Ball, Erik was there and did a fantastic job. He even dressed in costume to match our "An Evening at the Moulin Rouge" theme. During my 4 year position as Wedding Planner at Wilson Creek Winery, it was always a pleasure to have Erik there for my wedding ceremonies and receptions because he was on time and on point. Erik (DJ Richterscale) was phenomenal for our wedding in October in Santa Monica. He was extremely responsive, coordinated seamlessly with our wedding coordinator and brought professionalism and kindness to the day! We hired Erik to DJ for our wedding out at Pechanga in Temecula and he did not disappoint! He's very professional, the lighting he supplies is ambient and perfect, and his taste in music was so similar to ours that everything he played that night was perfect. He had our guests up and dancing all night as well! There's a good reason he is on the preferred vendors list for Pechanga. I hired Erik as a DJ for a school mother/daughter Luau. he was AMAZING!!!!!!! From the first time we spoke, he was super responsive to emails and phone call, super flexible and easy to work with. I couldn't have been happier with my decision to book with him. I was an overwhelmed DIY bride and I bit off way more than I could chew. We choose Erik for our wedding DJ and completely satisfied with our choice to have him, he kept in contact with us for 6 months and helped us with our music timing and was very easy to work with. The day of our wedding he played every song at every perfect moment and played the perfect song for each time slot of our wedding. We chose Erik as the DJ for our wedding in Big Bear, Ca on September 16, 2017. We couldn't be happier with our choice! In the months leading up to the wedding, Erik was very attentive and answered all of our questions.  He also took the time to ask questions of his own in order to get to know us individually and as a couple. My husband and I have somewhat different tastes in music, and Erik did a wonderful job of melding our tastes at the wedding. We hired DJ richterscale to DJ our wedding we had October 07 in Big Bear and Erik was great. I am a bit of a music snob and wanted specific music played and Erik was great! I first found out about DJ Richterscale (Erik) on Thumbtack. It was about 2 months before our wedding and the DJ we originally hired was no longer able to DJ for us. I went on thumbtack and received a bunch of responses to my post but DJ Richterscale stood out to us. We contacted him immediately and he was quick to respond and able to meet with us within a few days. Within the first 5 minutes of meeting him we knew it was only for the best that our first DJ didn't work out. We met with him for about an hour and he already had a good idea of what kind of music we liked and didn't like. Within a few days he sent us a ton of music choices for all of the dances (mother/son, father/daughter, cake cutting, etc.). <br><br>The day of our wedding Erik was awesome! He set up everything he needed for the ceremony only to find out by the wedding coordinator that it all had to be moved. He was able to quickly move everything around and get settled before the ceremony was set to start. Also, our wedding coordinator had to leave the reception early and Erik was able to take over and keep things going. He was the one to coordinate the grand entrance, the toasts, releasing tables to eat, the cake cutting, the bouquet toss/garter removal and all of the dancing in between. He also worked with our photographers and videographers to make sure they knew what was next so they were ready to film. <br><br>The Party- DJ Richterscale was AMAZING! He was so good at reading the crowd to see what type of music everyone liked to keep the party going. He is a true DJ and the music flowed so effortlessly from one song to the next. Everyone had so much fun at our wedding and it is all thanks to DJ Richterscale. He played all of the music we requested and allowed our guests to make requests as well. One person requested a song that he thought we wouldn't like since it was on our "we're not really a fan of this type of music list" and he even checked with us to make sure it was ok to play. Erik DJ'd our wedding and it was incredible. We are two musicians in the San Diego Symphony, and as you can imagine, our ceremony choice of music was not the norm. He sat down with us over skype for about 2 hours and we just chatted about music. We went through everything from the ceremony to RSVP song requests, dislike lists, dinner music, Dance music,  and went through the schedule minute by minute...from the order of the ceremony to the end of the evening. Erik basically was our coordinator once the ceremony started. He even made sure we had dinner. He read the room beautifully throughout the whole evening and constantly checked in on us to make sure everything was going how we wanted. Well, what can I say... Erik made our wedding this last Thursday 10/6, so much fun! without a doubt one of if not the best DJ I have ever experienced. Let's be honest - one of the most important components to a wedding is the DJ. He/she is responsible for getting the party started and keeping it going. ...and DJ Richterscale did not disappoint. <br>Erik was the perfect choice for our wedding which was earlier this month at Gold Mountain Manor up in Big Bear. His pricing was very reasonable  and he did a wonderful job. He was very thorough in talking to us both to make sure he made great song selections and helped direct us to picking important songs for the big day.  Our guests were particularly impressed with how he paid attention during all the toasts, adding certain sound bytes where appropriate. Erik DJ'd our wedding in June of this year. First of all he was incredibly professional. From what I could perceive, his main concern was our satisfaction. He was prompt, full of energy, and very polite. So, as a businessman he is top notch! Secondly, as a DJ, he is incredible! He's a lover of music, and I greatly appreciate that! ERIK was beyond FABULOUS! He just DJ'd my wedding this past weekend at Gold Mountain Manor, and killed it! It wouldn't have been a party without him! He played all of our favorites and read the crowd perfectly! Honestly, I was really worried about getting everyone to dance before the wedding. There was never a dull moment on the dance floor! DJ Erik Redmond is your go-to, must have, everybody wants DJ.  I first met Erik through youth sports in Riverside, and then had the pleasure of getting to know him as a really, really good DJ.  Erik is the City of Riverside's Ghost Walk DJ, a fun event held each Oct. by the Mission Inn.  Erik plays all the popular songs, is super kid friendly, and can change hats quickly for adult events.  I have utilized Erik for DJ parties at our local elementary school, and the kids love him.  He comes prepared, but his reputation as a professional, fun DJ proceeds him.  He comes prepared with games and goodies for the kids, and plays all of the songs the both kids &amp; adults love.  A good investment, you will pleased time &amp; again with this awesome DJ!  I look forward to utilizing his services again in the future, and highly recommend him! We've never hired a DJ before and by nature are a bit skeptical.We were in need of a DJ for our wedding and Erik came highly recommended by a friend so, we decided to have a conversation with him and see if he was the right fit for our special day. We quickly learned that a wedding DJ runs the event and is essential to keeping things on track. Erik is professional, has great energy, and helped guide us through the ins and outs of our wedding ceremony and reception. There is a ton to think about when it comes to what song or songs to choose and when to play them. With his guidance we were able to create a timeline of our day and select songs for the prominent moments. If you don't know what songs you want to play he has a list of recommendations that you can use. We used some of the recommended songs and some of the recommended songs inspired additional thoughts for other songs we ended up using. He has a ton of experience and is always listening in ... this allows him to continue to customize the day/event. For example the best man made a large reference to Seinfeld during his best man speech and at the conclusion of the speech Erik played a clip from the Seinfeld theme song. Hilarious, everyone laughed!! He takes the time to get to know you as a couple, what music you grew up with, what music genres you prefer, what to put on your do not play list, and has a professional way of handling requests by guests. He doesn't drink and even went to the extent of wearing our wedding colors! All of our guests raved about our DJ and I'm thrilled to say we're impressed! As an event planner, it's important to work with people you can reply on. I recently had the pleasure of working with Erik aka DJ Richterscale at a wedding. It was nice to have a friendly, trustworthy DJ to count on. He arrived early, prepared, and well dressed. Erik timed the music for the wedding ceremony PERFECTLY. The guests could all hear the Officiant clearly, as well as the bride and groom. Erik was always very flexible with the Order of Events and accommodating to guests' song requests. He was an absolute joy to work with.  He's lighthearted, cheerful, and positive. If you are looking for a great Dj, Erik is your guy. He is so personable and pays close attention to detail. His prices are affordable and goes into a job with 110%. My husband and I got married in June in Cancun and a few weeks after we had a home reception, in which we reached out Thumbtack and Erik contacted us immediately. Erik produced the entertainment for our wedding November 23, 2013 and let us tell you, words can not do justice for the amazing job Erik did. When we first met Erik and he presented his portfolio, we were thoroughly impressed with his work and professionalism. We knew he would provide excellent entertainment at our reception. As I mentioned above though, Erik was beyond excellent. As if normal with weddings, everything was not going perfect, so naturally my bride was a little rattled when we arrived to the venue. As we walked in Erik immediately walked up to us and welcomed and congratulated us. He started talking agenda with my bride asap and ensured her that he had everything under control. Her demeanor seemed so much more relax after she spoke with Erik and really started to enjoy her wedding at that point. He continued to check up on her throughout the venue and asked her if she would like to deviate from the agenda. Erik made it his responsibility to make sure my wife enjoyed her day, he also made sure the agenda was followed precisely, and most importantly he made sure the party was amazing and truly memorable.
