About

Dealing with anxiety, depression, and trauma can feel debilitating. You get stuck in thoughts of worry and fear that feel like a vicious loop you can’t escape. It can cause your world to get very small as it prevents you from participating in normal life.

Therapist

Went about 6 months ago when I was suffering very heavy depression among other things. Epp Counseling was able to help me identify where the problems were and worked on a plan with me to overcome them. Now I'm feeling back to my old self and happier than I have been in a long time. Highly recommend if you're looking to overcome some issues. More...

Q&As

I am passionate about counseling men and women and the issues that bring them to therapy. I love to see lives transformed and for clients to find hope and healing through the therapeutic process.

I have 30 years of counseling experience working with clients from all walks of life. When I moved to Florida, I decided it was the right time to start my private practice working with clients who need help overcoming depression, anxiety, and trauma.

Working with college students, homeless single mothers, victims of sex trafficking, and clients from many walks of life have given me broad insight into the unique needs of my clients. I have worked as a college dean, counselor in private practice, non-profit counselor, consultant, and clinical director. I specialize in the issues of anxiety, depression, trauma.
I have been working as a counselor for 30 years, having earned my B.S. in Humanities from Grace University and my M.S. in Agency Counseling from the University of Nebraska-Omaha. I am a Licensed Mental Health Provider in Nebraska and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida. My practice is conveniently located in Fort Myers, Florida with easy access from Cape Coral, North Fort Myers, and the broader Lee County area. I offer online therapy to residents of Florida and Nebraska.

My therapy approach is very individualized based on my client’s needs and goals, I draw from a variety of therapies, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, and DBT. As a Christian, I am happy to apply biblical principles to your therapy upon request. Whatever your background, I will strive to help you find hope and freedom from the pain you are experiencing using the values and belief system you bring to therapy.

Together we will set specific goals to help you set the direction for therapy. I will use therapeutic tools that best suit your needs. Everyone is different, so your therapy will be unique to you.

When I am not seeing clients, I love to garden, travel, and spend time with friends and family.

I offer online therapy through a HIPAA compliant platform. I am licensed to see clients remotely in Florida.

Clients are asked to request teletherapy if there is any concern that they have been exposed or are experiencing symptoms.
Clients who do not wish to come into the office are offered teletherapy/video sessions on a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform at any time.
