We had our first family photoshoot with Kim at Navy Pier and it was an absolute pleasure working with her! First of all, we arrived late and she was so extremely understanding and positive! And the shoot itself was SOOOOO effortless that we honestly felt like we were hanging out with a friend. What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Lighting is everything! And making certain my clients are comfortable in front of the camera. I aim to build a personal connection with my clients and guide them toward the perfect shot!
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
I ask a lot of questions from the start. Logistics, what they hope to accomplish, what type of setting is preferred, etc. The more I understand the needs of my clients it contributes to the success of of the overall shoot.
What do you love most about your job?
I love capturing memories and learning about people through the photo experience. I have clients from all walks of life, faiths and interest. It's beautiful to collaborate with my clients to create the vision they hoped for.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I'm an independent self starter type who loves pushing myself to new heights. I used to be a project manager and decided to put my energy in building a business around my passion for photography.
