I would recommend Emily in a heartbeat! She was amazingly communicative and kind in the planning process for our small wedding. I never had to worry about anything. She did so much more beyond the photography piece. She truly is a Utah desert expert with amazing insight into both the wild side of the Moab area as well as the local vendor connections to help out in other parts of the ceremony. Emily goes above and beyond to ensure her couples love their photos and also have a great time taking them! She is incredibly flexible in that she will take the lead and guide you through a session but she is also great about letting you be yourselves. She was also very flexible with me changing a timeline up to the day before! We are obsessed with her spirit and all of her photos. I also can’t recommend doing a session prior to and after your wedding day enough! We loved our engagement photos and they definitely helped in 1.) getting us more comfortable with pictures and 2.) getting to meet with Emily and see if we meshed well (which obviously we did because she’s awesome). This left no worries regarding wedding day pictures (you have enough to worry about) because I knew Emily and knew I trusted her to capture the day better than I’d imagine. I also recommend the day after session because you aren’t rushed to get back to your guests, and it’s just a nice time to hang out with your spouse in the all the “newly wed” feels. Emily was the best decision we made for our wedding. Her positivity, warm heart and professional expertise are what you look for in a photographer. Our wedding was everything we hoped for and Emily captured it entirely. We have a lot of family so when it came time for group and family photos we had a long list to get through. With Emily’s calm nature we were able to move through our list so efficiently that we were actually ahead of schedule. After our wedding, we received our entire gallery within just a few short weeks and the photos were nothing short of amazing. We can't say enough amazing things about Emily's wedding photography! First, Emily showed up 24 hours before the wedding, not only to introduce herself to our entire family, but also to give her time to scout all of the locations around our venue. She spent the entire afternoon of wedding day photographing both the bride and the groom getting ready, as well as taking photos of the venue before the celebration. Emily is absolutely in the right field! We could not be more thrilled to have her as our photographer. She is great with communication and follow up (even when I slacked on my end). She is also very prepared and organized. She had not yet shot in the location we chose. To be prepared she arrived a couple days early to scout the areas, watch the lighting of the locations with the mountains, and used different forms of technology to make sure we had an ideal location and shoot. My fiancé and myself can be super awkward and shy in front of the camera. But some how, Emily worked her magic to make us feel so much more comfortable and enjoy our time. She has such a great personality and is able to connect with others right away. We are so thankful we did an engagement shoot with her and cannot wait to work with her again for our elopement later this year. From a practical standpoint, this session allows you to get more comfortable in front of a camera. From beginning to end of our photos you can see how we loosened up as we went on! Making for more natural and genuine photos (which you definitely want for your big day!) This also serves as a “trial run” before your big day. After the session, I realized what type of dress I might want for my big day after having had to constantly mess with the one I wore for my session. We absolutely loved working with Emily for our wedding photography! We LOVE our wedding photos. From start to finish she was totally professional, really friendly, and made us feel completely at ease during our remote cliffside wedding under the stars near the Arizona/Utah border. Emily is an excellent communicator and very organized, which made everything run very smoothly. She was great about being able to capture beautiful images without interrupting any of our time with our friends and family- in fact, most of our guests went the whole weekend assuming she was also a guest! Our first look photo session before the ceremony and the photo session we did the day after the wedding were so much fun! They just felt like fun dates with my wife. The sessions felt totally natural because she gave us really unique/hilarious cues for the posing etc, and as a result the photos are an awesome reflection of who we are as a couple! Words cannot describe how amazing Emily is. While her photos are absolutely stunning, when you have Emily shoot your wedding you are getting so much more. Emily did our Moab engagement and our Telluride wedding. She brings an energy to day that is amazing. Her calmness and ease helped calm the nerves in the group, while her genuine excitement for photography keeps the stoke high. I could not imagine having anyone else around at such an intimate occasion. While the wedding planner, event coordinator, and dj all had the day of timeline, Emily may have been the only person to actually follow it. She's The GOAT! Do not miss out on an opportunity to utilize her. I heard about her through a recommendation and I am glad I didn't over look it. I would recommend her to anyone traveling through Moab or that part of region looking for photos or a photographer. I came to Moab from Oklahoma City with my girlfriend Abby to propose and Emily was so well prepared to accommodate my questions and offer suggestions. This was our first time taking professional photos and didn't really know what to expect. It was also our first time visiting Moab and though we had never been, we wanted photos in the beautiful Arches National Park. Emily made this day so easy and stress free for both of us. She planned out the day, where to take photos and suggested different poses. She even helped us with suggestions on different outfits and colors that would contrast well with our environment. Besides deciding to marry my husband, booking Emily was the very best decision I made when planning my wedding. We thought we were getting a photographer, but we got so much more when we booked her. She helped us figure out where to get married, what time of the year and week, what time of the day to have the ceremony, how to plan out the day, which vendors to work with, and even where to eat and sleep! I got smiles ear to ear every time we emailed and then actually hanging out with her at our engagement shoot (which you should also book! you wont regret it!) and after our ceremony was probably the highlight of our trip. A few months ago, Emily did a photo shoot for my business. It involved capturing a model in one of my dresses made from a mans dress shirt. I needed someone to capture how my dresses flowed and generally make them look great! Emily did just that. She chose the best lighting and made my dresses shine. We can't say enough good things about Emily. We hired her for our wedding in Arches National Park and coming from out of town we were nervous about how it all would go. We skyped with her a few months before the wedding and right then we knew she was going to be amazing. It's rare to find a photographer who can create amazing photos while also making sure you're having the time of your life. Emily took engagment photos for my fiance and I during a recent vacation in Moab UT. I was a little nervous booking someone remotely but booking her has been our best wedding planning decision so far! She promptly answered the many questions I asked prior to our engagment session and even gave me outfit suggestions and viewed my Pinterest board to get a feel for my style. Emily arrived at our location early to scope out a brand new little spot she hadn't been to before that turned out to be amazing! Emily was amazing and easy to work with from the very beginning.
I sent a vague email asking questions about considering an elopement in Arches/Canyonlands National Park, and Emily responded promptly, responding to each of my questions with bullet points, and even provided a tentative itinerary so we could get an idea of how to schedule the day.
From that point forward, Emily was helpful, easy to talk to, super organized, and very approachable. She even helped us plan and execute a successful first look, even though it was just the two of us and her!
We had an absolute blast running around Arches doing the first look and having photos taken, and she was very discrete while photographing our actual vows exchange at Dead Horse State Park.

Working with Emily is absolutely as incredible as her photos, and we got everything we wanted and more from our engagement session with her. The moments and landscapes she captured are just stunning, and I repeatedly get requests from family and friends to send them our photos. We had so much fun and faith in Emily that we booked her for our wedding before even seeing our full engagement shoot gallery! Not only is Emily quick to respond and professional, she is very easy to work with leading up to the event and is knowledgeable and helpful the day of the shoot. I was a bit worried about having my fiance and rambunctious pup participate in a photo shoot that ended up being in freezing cold weather, but Emily had plenty of jokes and tricks up her sleeve to distract us and the session flew by in what seemed like 10 minutes! My partner and I were planning a big road trip out to the western US from Canada this past fall. We love to travel, but as a photographer myself I am always disappointed that we never have great photos of us together in all the amazing places we have visited (just selfies and tripod/timer photos). This time, I wanted to hire a photographer on one of our stops to capture some professional photos of us together!I found Emily via Google and fell in love with her work...her communication was great. We set a date for a shoot at Arches National Park and met her at the visitor centre - and we immediately clicked as soon as we met! She was friendly and hilarious! During our photoshoot, Emily immediately put us at ease with fun banter and thankfully was not horrified at how ridiculous and goofy Matt and I can be - hahaha! We got along SO well!
