I hired Sebastian to host a private mixology class for my boyfriend's 30th. We worked with him to create the cocktail menu and then he built out the interactive class. It was so much fun and all our guests had an amazing time. Sebastian was extremely professional, kind, and knowledgeable and was an amazing addition to the party. Our family hired Chef Austin and his Elite Personal Chef team to cook dinner for us while we were on vacation in Hilton Head South Carolina in July of 2023. 33 of us gathered to celebrate my parent’s 60th wedding anniversary, and we hoped it would be a meal and night to remember. From the very start, Chef Austin was responsive and patient with my requests and challenges organizing an intimate family dinner for a large group. He worked with me on all the details: timing, menu, cost, food preferences and allergies. Chef Austin devised a menu combining his low country South Carolina roots along with his credentials as a chef at 3-star Michelin rated Alinea in Chicago (our home town). Everything was delicious! Complex and unique enough to please the foodies in our group but also not so intimidating that those with less adventurous palates couldn’t enjoy. Some of our favorite moments … - Chef Austin's impromptu cocktail lesson with 5 keys to flavor: Many of us gathered around the counter for great info along with a surprise ingredient in a delicious and different drink. - Chef Larry's beef rib roast carving: The youngest member of the team, Larry fit right in as very competent and professional. - Chef Lindsay's utensil delivery: Speedy service to my mom when her spoon went missing. As “front of house” Lindsay quickly and efficiently went through the kitchen cabinets to figure out what could be used for cooking, serving and setting tables. No easy task as this was a rental home and none of us knew where anything was kept. - Chef Kay’s chocolate and berry dessert: Proclaimed “the best thing I ever had” by one of the youngest members of our family. - Oh … and the team cleaned up everything … stored leftovers, washed dishes, scrubbed pots and pans … so we didn’t have to lift a finger. Our group of 6 adults and 6 kids had the pleasure of the Chef Austin and Chef Nat experience while on spring break in the Smokey Mountains. What an exceptional experience! Chefs' prepared amazing dinners, prepped breakfasts, did a cooking experience/class with the kids that was really special and always cleaned up which was the gift that keeps on giving for us parents on spring break! Chef James was simply amazing. He kindly covered for another Chef last minute and helped my husband and I host a plated dinner for 8 guests on NYE. My husband and I recently threw a dinner party at our home for the nurses he works with and we had Elite Personal Chefs take care of the food and drinks! Kevin Holt and his team (Justin Komori & Justin Lutze) were amazing and so nice to work with. You can view our menu (see pic) that Kevin and I worked together to create. He listened to what I wanted and helped me create a menu that pleased all of our guests. He and his team brought all the supplies and tools they needed and when they were finished my kitchen was cleaner than when they arrived! This review is for Chef Rick Paniagua. Rick provided a wonderful experience for seven of us in our home. The five course meals were amazing. He started us out with a Rainbow beet cous cous salad, followed by Winter Squash soup, with sun dried tomato garlic crisp smoked red pepper drizzle. Next was Basil Pesto Gnocchi pasta, with heirloom cherry tomato, shaved manchego, and herb de provence chicken. We were already full, but had to keep eating because his main entree was Malbec braised Short-Rib, Truffle sweet potato, toasted spinach, and lemon goat cheese drizzle! Who could say no! Had to keep room for dessert which was a decadent chocolate tart. Rick entertained us the entire evening with his stories about working with the 2016 World Series Champs Chicago Cubs, and all his personal chef exploits for celebrities around the globe. I would highly recommend Rick to anyone for a special occasion in their home! He's professional, reliable and has spoiled me from cooking at any future dinner parties! More...

As responsible humans know, the most important component of a wedding reception is good food (followed in close second by an open bar & rock solid music).
In our search for an awesome menu, Austin’s team came highly recommended to us by friends who are also chefs. From the first meeting onward, Austin was super communicative, straight forward, and brimming with assurance. His team drafted a beautiful menu combining their expertise and creativity while also prioritizing our tastes and preferences. The menu yielded something for everyone- beginning with passed hors d’oeuvres, moving through live action cooking stations, a Mediterranean mezza table, a dessert station, and a round of late night snacks. The man wielding a hand-torch to mini creme brûlées was arguably one of the most popular fixtures of the evening. Austin’s team took care of all the dinnerware/glassware rentals and clean-up and it goes without saying that all of this was executed clean and neatly in a mid-sized art gallery packed with hungry guests. We could not have been more pleased with the outcome. It tickles us pink to continue to hear from our guests how great the food at our reception was and which part they liked best.

Food Service and Sanitation Manager Certification (fssmc) and Food Handler Training
Elite Personal Chefs offers FSSMC and Food Handler training for the City of Chicago (within the city limits) and State of Illinois. Our Chef Instructors create a fun and interactive environment for learning using the nationally recognized ServSafe® program, which was developed by the National Restaurant Association with the help of foodservice industry experts who face the same risks you do every day.
