Eleanor did a fabulous job on our wedding in Oneonta. The pictures were crisp and she was extremely professional. Even going above and beyond organizing the order of some of the events since we didn't have a planner. The photos came back surprisingly quick with some amazing candid shots! Thank you Eleanor!! These pictures are both posed and candid. They will create many long lasting memories of this beautiful wedding. Jared and Rose were surrounded by family and friends who know and love them and shared in their happiness on this day and always.

Q&As

In order to take great photographs you have to combine being "in the moment" with all the experience and skills you've attained through years of practice! Every shoot is unique and you have to be extremely flexible in both mind and body!

The first question I ask a client is "what do you want to do with the photographs?". There's no point in having a load of photographs that just end up sitting on your hard drive. I always want to know what the end use is so that we can tailor the shoot to meet those needs. After that, there are many other questions to do with style, location, timeframe and budget. After an initial email it's always best to talk on the phone, or skype to hash these things out. If possible, I like to meet clients in person before the shoot.

There's nothing I'd rather do than take photographs. It's an incredible rewarding, fulfilling profession which combines art and technology. I come from an arts background (I have an undergraduate degree in sculpture and two master degrees in film photography and animation) so I'm an artistic nerd! I really enjoy meeting new people and developing a relationship with them in what is often some of the most important times in their lives.

I like to be my own boss as I have a very clear vision of what I want my photography to look like. Over the years I've developed a technique and approach to photography that is uniquely mine. I think it's important to have a photographer who knows what they're doing!

I'm a very professional and versatile photographer who has a ton of experience but I'm also a lot of fun! I like to have a good time and make shoots a collaborative experience where the client gets to be part of the process. You can't take great photographs of people who aren't enjoying themselves so I try and take the stress out of situation and guide people to a place where they're feeling comfortable and look their best.
