Great food and a really fun atmosphere! There was a period a few years ago where the food was not as good, but apparently they have a new chef now who is fantastic. The food is now better than ever! We have been coming every year for Christmas eve for 15 years now and will keep coming! More...

The food is amazing and hearty and the service is wonderful! We enjoyed an entertaining Sunday evening earlier this week with live music and atmosphere while enjoying a liter of German beer. The potato soup is delicious and the Jaegerschnitzel, spätzle, and red cabbage were a great combination, highly recommend this entree! We finished with a slice of Black Forrest Cake and Lemon Pie with a cup of fresh brewed coffee. Our waiter was very accommodating to any requests and took great care of us. You are missing out if you have not tried this authentic German restaurant! More...

The tartis of restaurants. Looks unassuming on the outside then once in, you feel like you’re in Germany. Lots of delicious food to try. Try the sample plate if new to German food. Appears to be a great gathering place with the grand piano, large fireplace and long table for work gatherings. Would love to visit again if in the neighborhood. More...

Such a fun restaurant! The staff is so personable, once they even held my baby so I could eat in peace. The food is authentic and they always have fresh cakes and bread baked that day. Absolutely wonderful for a Hail and Farewell!! More...

The sausage was the best tasting food item on the plate the schnitzel lacked authenticity and flavor - was a bit tough and had the "I was just cooked in old grease" taste - the mushroom gravy was very bland and watered down tasting - spatzle was bland and over cooked - cabbage etc also tasted like not much effort went into preparation-

First time in, moved from Florida to Texas. I've had German food before but this place was amazing! The staff, ambience, food are all outstanding. The German chocolate cake is perfectly made. Now normally I'm not a fan of chocolate or sweets for that matter, but this cake was light and just perfect sweetness. The sausage, potato salad, and red cabbage all taste so delicious. Schnitzel was perfect thickness and crispness. Will be going back for live music Friday or Saturday nights. More...

The food was fine and the service was fine. The atmosphere was certainly unique. You approach the place on a hot Texas night, with the western plains spreading out before you like a vast noiseless chasm. Then you park in this slightly shabby, sunbaked parking lot. Old sunbaked kitschy German murals hang on the building’s exterior.Walking into the restaurant was like stepping back into the 1970s, and by that, I mean it looked like the place was last updated in 1975! I felt like I was in my mother in law’s house. But like I said, the food is fine. It’s gut-sticking traditional german food. No El Bulli here - just spaetzle, sausages, red cabbage, etc. It’s definitely got a lot of history. There are signed pictures of long dead local celebrities all over the walls, lots of the type of stuff a tourist would pick up on a 1985 visit to Germany, etc. It’s like going back in time to a simpler world without Internet, fuel injection, modile phones, etc. More...

This is my favorite German restaurant in all of Fort Worth and Dallas! I live in Midlothian and strictly go here, even when I lived in Rockwall I would still go here. I have been going to this place since 1986, and I don’t see why I will ever stop going here! More...

Absolutely amazing, can be a bit pricey but definitely worth it. The staff is super welcoming and helpful, the atmosphere is very relaxing and lots of history and things to see. Sunday nights they have a piano player and there is a dance floor, the beer is just as those you can get from Germany, and the food is outstanding and again tastes just as if you were in the Country of Germany. This place took my husband and I back in time. Highly recommend. More...
