Movement skill is a priority. Meaning, you must move well withOUT weights (dumbbells/barbells/kettlebells) before you can move effectively WITH them. There’s no logic to making a poor movement pattern stronger, because it will cost you in the long term.

I highly recommend Andrew. He takes time to understand and periodically review fitness goals. This is really important for busy professionals where it can be easy to lose sight. He's also flexible with busy schedules accommodating work commitments and business travel. His training is rigorous and he mixes things up to always be sure there's a different challenge during each workout. I personally have benefited from improved strength, balance and range of motion. Working with Andrew has really changed my life! Before I started working with him, I was told that I really needed to make significant life changes to live past the next 5 years. I'm 47 years old and I was taking 8 medicines a day, had very poor gut health, and seemed get sick very frequently. I reached out to IHP and told them I needed a trainer who was extremely solid, had a background in working with clients with medical issues - somebody who could design a program to push me, but not to the point of injuring me or exasperatingly old injuries. I have been working with Andrew for 3 months and have dropped 6 of the 8 medicines I was previously taking! Also, I have dropped over 4 inches from my waist and have a much more compact body! I haven't caught so much as a cold since I started working with him!There are so many impressive qualities about Andrew - I think the most important for me is that he was able to get me to believe in myself and in the real possibility that change in my composition would happen without the use of chemicals or supplements at age 47. I've been training with Andrew for 3+ years, and have never felt stronger than I do today. He takes a very personalized approach with his programs, taking time to understand not only my original goals, but also helping them evolve over time, while keeping the training regimen fresh and highly targeted on achieving 360-degree fitness (strength, endurance, speed, etc. ). Andrew's relentless focus on proper form safely pushes the envelope with strength development, and his deep knowledge of muscle/movement systems ensure that the only pain I'm feeling is the good kind. Andrew is awesome! He is a fabulous trainer. When you are training with him, he is 100% invested in your time. He pays attention to your form which is vitally important. He is extremely knowledgeable and can answer all of your workout and diet related questions. He helped my through my worst, an ACL replacement. It was an awful recovery, but Andrew truly was there for me helping me get stronger and faster every session. He pushes you when needed and knows when your tank is empty. Andrew is the BEST!!!! From the start, Andrew has emphasized that we are a team working toward my goals and that the changes I want to see required my commitment beyond the two hours we spend together during the week. Working with Andrew is not just about making changes to your body though. It's also about learning the discipline of movement and having the mental focus to push yourself. Andrew is a meticulous technician when it comes to form. He isn't a trainer who will just show up and stand over you counting reps. Every movement is intentional and you'll do it over and over until you get it right. He explains how those small tweaks make all the difference. I have been working with Andrew for a little over 1 yr. He is amazing to work with. He really talks through goals, defines what to focus on, pushes me hard enough to make a real difference. I have had a couple small injuries outside of this, and he worked around it so my sessions are always meaningful. Would highly, highly recommend Andrew as a coach and trainer. Andrew is a pro. He understands the functionality of the body and understands injury. He is able to communicate and is capable of working with all levels; kids, athletes and older folks recovering from physical issues. He enjoys his job and it shows. You will get the results you are looking for. He cares about his clients and takes his role seriously. He has a vast amount of experience and keeps up to date with various methodologies which is always willing to discuss.
